London Ohio and Indianapolis Assemby Halls to be sold
by munchausen inannounce was made this week that the assembly halls in london, ohio and indianapolis indiana will be sold and a new 3000 seat assembly hall will be built in southwest ohio.
the assembly hall in london ohio was built in the 70's and is in fine shape - nothing wrong with it.
the new one will cost around 8-9 million.

An elder an I had a discussion about this assembly hall. He said it had a cost of 6 to 7 million. I asked him if were so close to the end why not just to maintenance to the current assembly halls and just limp them along. It would be cheaper initially to limp them along and less strain on people concerning money and labor. He went into some mumbo jumbo about how it would be cheaper in the long run. I guess armageddon isnt happening for 20 or 30 years. I asked how it could be cheaper when were going to have to rent a hotel for our one day assembly and two day assembly. Seems to me nobody took that into account. As a whole it will cost more money for families just because of hotel costs. How can some families even afford it? Its goin to be about a 3 hour drive for some people.
On a side note. I find it interesting when were out in service and pass by a huge extravagent church. Some always says how ridiculous the money spent on that church was. How as jehovah witness our kingdom halls are modest. Yeah right were just like any other religion with hour huge assembly halls.

Education Policy
by Martin Harker ini was raised a catholic until the age of eight which was a normal life.
my mother took everything the jws said literally and this destroyed my schooling and education.. the issue that i have with this religion is that they contradict what they say about education and elders encourage parents to prevent kids from gaining a college or university education as the jw objectives should be the primary goal in life.. they sometimes seemed to encourage education and recently i checked and now they are saying that education leads to alienation and suicide.
they state that university leads to immorality and drug taking.

I went to college for four years right after high school. I was always asked at the hall when are you going to graduate. Got really sick of people asking me that. People were always badmouthing education during the watchtower study. I finished my degree then I questioned the religion. I figured out it was all a lie. They want people ignorant so they wont get decent jobs and have to rely on the watchtower.

Ya i always wondered why there has never been fossils of nephilim found. Maybe, because they never existed. Watchtower explanation would be that satan removed them from the earth obviously.

Why is the TRUTH not true enough?
by Terry inhere is a premise: the anointed are a faithful and discreet slave class who channel jehovah's truth.. here is a conclusion based on the above premise: the governing body print and publish the truth because jehovah directs them to do so.. .
considering the above premise and conclusion i now ask the following question:.
if what the governing body has published is the truth directly from jehovah---why does the watchtower society allow it to go out of print?.

I always think about what it says in the reasoning book. That the generation that saw 1914 wouldnt die. Even though we have new light on the situation. I dont feel it gets any simpler to prove they are liars from that standpoint

i agree with wannabefree. Whats the point of this article it proves nothing. It just takes every piece of evidence and they say what if this happened instead. Most JWs will skim this article over and say it is the truth. Some that dont even know about 587-607 may actually wake up. This article may backfire. We shall see as we get closer to november.
