i've recently been given permission by a friend who works at abc news to give his email address to any of you who have either served on jc cases or victims who were involved with jc's.
i gave him my story over the phone.

The real reason allegations of child abuse among JW's are not reported
by jeremiah18:5-10 inthis is my opinion, i don't have official quotes or official instructions to back this up.
what i have is real life experience of having been an elder that was involved in investigating an allegation of child abuse, why we didn't report, why we didn't encourage the parents to report.. its simple really, the main reason elders don't report is concern that they may lose their position in the congregation.
if you in any way "run ahead" of the society, you will be perceived as proud and arrogant and will be deleted!

Only today one of our friends who is an exJW child abuse victim told us she is being shunned by lifelong friends because they do not believe that she was molested by a brother in the Kingdom Hall and the elders knew and didn't do anything about it.
When you are in, you think you are in a "spiritual paradise" and you naturally reject anything and anyone that spoils that view.

after learning from my former husband tha i am disfellowshipped, he writes the following: .
fb true friend: "xxxxx with tears in my eyes i will be deleting you but i want you as my sister again.

When I was in my best friend got df'd. We went out to dinner and a movie together right before the announcement and she told me. I didn't see her or talk to her until she got reinstated. That was what I thought was the right thing to do for her "eternal salvation.' I supported the shunning while I was in and felt it was an act of unselfish love.
The part about this facebook conversation that I find so offensive is that the name of Jehovah and Satan is not spelled out. This is so trashing and immature. This is supposed to make you think. It is demeaning and degrading.
I am sorry the elders got their hooks into you. Hope we can help in some small way, friend.

I have been in sales all my life and I certainly learned a lot about selling from the auditorium of the Kingdom Hall. Sales can be a numbers game, the more people you contact, the more chances to sell.

I think your mother is in for a surprise. When the time of real need arises, few witnesses help another out of their need. Oh they say they will, but it never really happens. We found this out when our elderly mother went into the nursing home.

Who still goes to meetings and out in field service?

as i sit at the district convention i can't help but think who else out in the crowd is just like me.

I quit cold turkey December 2010. Love my new life. Jw's shun me, but my daughter still lets me come see her as long as I don't bash the Society.
I look back now and realize now there were a lot of witnesses that were not whole souled. Different ones would make little comments that shocked me at the time, but make sense to me now.
Look for those who have funny looks on there faces or look miserable. You can hang out with these people, maybe?

I am heartbroken for the both of you. Such a waste of precious time and a precious mother and son relationship. She feels she has to do this in order for you to come back into the fold and get everlasting life. She truly believes this is an act of ultimate love. She thinks she will call you to your senses.
I am so sorry. This must be incredibly painful. She really does love you but she is just brainwashed by the Watchtower Society. Let's hope she awakens before too much time goes by.
