I had some of your issues also. I downloaded the free book "The Atheist Book of Bible Stories." I also went you You Tube and searched "Atheist Humor." I spent hours watching the animated videos. You learn how ridiculous the Bible is in a fun environment. I don't need anymore convincing. I joined a secular meetup group and really enjoy our get togethers.

I am having trouble believing in God...

this is not meant to offend anyone who does, i am just curious to see if i am the only one who thinks this..... to start, i am a very black and white person.
if 1+1=2 it makes sense to me and i can agree with it.

I was there for a tour and my sister and I were invited for dinner. It was very regimental and not warm at all. Everyone acted uptight and they didn't look happy at all.

it was as if the brothers and sisters were already in the new world for, upon hearing this news, there were no tears at all.
instead, it is a humble acknowledgement from the gb of the mind-numbing, yawn-inducing 2-day circuit assemblies.. .

How many in the cong visited you when you started fading
by joe134cd ini'm just curious speaking from a person who has stopped going to meetings.
i have heard reports from inactive ones (or from ones who the elders suspect of going to the dark side) of having so many visits from elders (cong members) that it got to the point of harassment.
surprisingly i have to say from personal experience and from numerous others that i have spoken to that the exact opposite has been the case.

New here and having ah ha moments!

i've been having health problems for the last few years and instead of any help, i'm listed as spiritually weak and of course associations is only my kids and husband.
all the good jw's have moved to other congregations and are doing well.

Just keep saying you are not physically up to coming to the Hall and they will all think you are just getting spiritually weak. Glad you haven't had to endure those long, boring meetings in a month.

Paleo Diet. What do you think?

whether it's from stress or not, i can't say, but i might be getting an ulcer.
the burning in my stomach and intestinal puffiness is getting to be be chronic.

Coconut oil that is unrefined and raw is a health food. It has lauric acid in it. The only other thing that contains as much lauric acid is breast milk.

We were told just attending the meetings and being on the ministry school was the equivalent of a college education.
Bethelites are right under the nose of the governing body and their lackies. It would have to be as tight or tighteras Bethel. What would the graduates do with their education? They are supposed to pioneer aren't they? An education is not necessary. Besides, Armageddon is coming so soon, they will nevegraduate anyway. They need to be preaching door to door, not getting an education.
