  ok, so to night i was going to give a talk and of course i waited to the last min.....well then i just happen to get sick and just never showed up...oh no whatever will i do?!?!?!

  these are hastily thought up facts and then some stereo-typical reasons, in response to sam's why men seldom get depressed thread.

  feel free to add ones that have been missed.. men:.

  have to shave everyday or they look like miami vice wannabe's.. have to register for the draft.. have to keep up that macho image for their buds.. have to pretend to love beer.. to them, size is an important issue.

  fading and need some support

  first i am an ex pioneer of 2-3years ago and an ex elder of 9 months ago stepping down 12 months ago and stopped commenting for about 11 months.

  prior to my enlightenment/awakening i was very active and an elder that spread the love to the congragation.. their has been very little shepparding by the elders witch im glad about, however 2 month goning on 3 i'v put 0 hours in service and reported 0. the memorial is comming up.

  im expecting someone or sometwo to talk with me.

  You shoudn't have linked anything from JWN to ypur facebook account - at least not to ypur real facebook account. That was your mistake.

  i have been reading this forum for about a year on and off.

  it was a great help in discovering the real history of the jws and helped me realize what a controlling religion (cult?

  very recently i stopped all contact with my kingdom hall and have quit my study, so i thought it was about the right time to sign up here.. i am (was) the third generation of my family to be involved with the witnesses.

  i was a gung-ho advocate for jws.

  i got on the message boards and would argue down any detractor, apostate, church pastor, disgruntled ex-jw, you name it... i was out in the ministry constantly, practically running from door to door, preaching.

  i started studies left and right.

  WontLeave, thanks for posting your story. I can totally understand. I've been in a similar situation for a few month - not as bad though, but I've been "marked", too - very soon I've learned a valuable lesson - a suving skill for a JW : NEVER TELL THEM WHAT TOU REALLY THINK. If you do, they will use it against you.

  even if i dont really celebrate it like...i'm suppose to be going out for karokee tonight with a friend, then doing something with another friend on the 26th.

  two more years and i'll be the big 3-0. man, how time passes.

  Lease cars for circuit overseers (worldwide arrangement)

  yesterday evening a letter of the dutch (netherlands) branch of the watchtower society was read to the congregation.

  it stated that the governing body has made a new arrangement for circuit overseers worldwide: the society provides a lease car.

  it was backed with some bible texts (...) and the conclusion was that it was financial cheaper for the congregations.

  get out shouted the audience you must be ashamed of yourself.

  the crowd was in a hysterical state, every time that we tried to say something we were silenced by the clapping and screams which got louder and louder of the majority of the two hundred people in attendance.

  MY DAD IS SHUNNING ME!

  well this was no surprise to me that my dad was doing this.

  m df brother went round last night to borrow some tools and my dad just had to mention that he was dissapointed with the family and how we don't go to the meetings anymore.

  he told my brother that he could not have a proper farther son relationship as he does not share the same faith and hope for the future as him, and if an emergencey situation was to present it'self then he would be their for him.

  He is oposed to the witnesses. He is not very active in his religion, but he thinks I should have stayed in the religion of our ancestors, and the religion that more than 90% of the population in this country belong to. He's got crap ideas like that...
