3Dog1Husband...a JW friend on Facebook said the same. ..no DC tomorrow. She added : poor brothers and sisters, its devastating. I replied it is also devastating for everyone else...just saying. Waiting for her reaction. The JWs lack of empathy for nonbelievers really bothers me.

i just feel so sad and pissed off that i didn't do more when i was a jw and actually had coverage at the time.... .
MW...your story reminded me of when I was younger and feared the dentist. Prior to any visit to the dentist I would pray every night for the big A to arrive so I wouldn't have to go through the needles and the drilling...

they had the love of jesus christ so deep, they would do anything to make sure we stayed aboard the patterson ark.. .
now i can't create a fancy time-line like the july 15, 2013 watchtower that shows all those cool pictures and charts.
NONE...That's the way I like it...JWs are conditional friends...and I no longer wish to submit to conditions.
i'm so glad i have been able to be puttering around my yard, planting flowers, pulling weeds, drinking coffee while on the porch, instead of being locked in a stuffy kingdom hall, being bored to death, watching the clock and hoping nobody was going to be long-winded on the comments at the watchtower and we would end up overtime.

Earlier today I rode my motorcycle by the Auditorium and saw that the parking lot was full...The sign above the main entrance read: Watch Tower Convention...for a short moment I remembered how the last few hours of the Sunday sessions were torture and I just couldn't wait for the convention to end. Of course, the closing prayer would serve as a review of the whole program and would include how this was the best convention ever....blah,blah,blah. I twisted the throttle and sped away free to enjoy the beautiful day.
I used to go to the Kitchener DC...Now when I go to this arena is to play hockey.

i hadn't heard this before.... sadly, it seems in perfectly in character for them.
Either the WTS knows very little on how emergency services work or that they want to avoid disruption at all cost by having a "qualified" brother make the call and move the incident victim to a more private place so the meeting can go on...

Today everyone owns a cell phone and I am pretty sure 911 attendants are accustomed to receive and handle multiple calls for the same event...the Boston bombing must have genetated thousands of calls...so what's a few calls from an assembly hall going to change? As many said, every second counts for victims of heart attacks...except maybe for those who have resurrection as a back up...
my grandmother asked me to read to her so i asked her what she wanted me to read.

Making friends on the outside is pivotal to your escape because of possibly loosing "friends" and family who will reject you if you leave the cult. Remember that they strongly believe they're demonstrating love to you, but mostly to God by shunning you. So join a football team or motorcycle club and take part in their charity rides. You will quickly make new friends who will support if or when things get rough.
