Like Phizzy I attended every meeting and served as a MS. As I started waking up I changed job and started traveling more for business. It was a perfect excuse to step down from my ministerial duties. Then the DC came and after the final talk on the generation overlap we drove home and on the way I asked my wife if she realized what the society was telling us...she was clueless about what I was talking about. After explaining I told her that I had just attended my last meeting. She cried, then said she had no desire to live with an unbeliever. The following months she regularly went to each meeting and sisters made arrangements to get her out in service every week. She has since slowed down a bit but after almost 4 years and I can't see the situation changing anytime soon. Our relationship is fine as long as we don't talk religion.

Jehovah WILL provide......
by quellycatface inhi guys.. just found out today that my landlord is selling my apartment.
he says he selling it with me as a sitting tenant, so should be okay.
i'm still a bit apprehensive as i've been here nearly 8 years and my son is in year 9 at the local school.. my mum's words of wisdom, were, of course, "jehovah will provide.".

When I was full in I lost a great paying job after over 25 years...at the very same time a close friend was diagnosed with cancer. Both situations were the subject of many prayers. God got me a new job...but my friend died a few months later...I would have rather be unemployed but God saw things differently...

When Jehovah doesn't provide it's usually because you're not doing enough in his service...get your spiritual life in order and your financial situation will improve...

"Why Nobody Ever Came Looking For You when you faded!"

are you aware that "one weak jw who is fading can take out five strong jws, so it's best to avoid or greatly limit your contact with weak jws?

New awake up on jw.org about suicide

During my last few years in the cult I often thought of taking my life. I could not figure out why I no longer wanted to live especially when I had a good career, a loving wife and financial stability. At that time I was very active as a MS reaching out for more privileges thinking that this was the best way to achieve true happiness. Still many mornings on the way to work I drove recklessly in the hope to be in an accident that would take my life without raising suspicion of suicide. After learning TTATT I stopped going to the meetings at once and I suddenly no longer wanted to die...quite the opposite I started loving my life free from the WT. It's been almost 4 years and I want to live more than ever...so I guess I won't have to read the latest Awake after all.

Unfortunately this article comes too late for the 6 JWs I personally knew that committed suicide..

Did they change the shunning article on the JW.ORG Website?
by bluesaph init no longer says, "those who simply leave the congregation are not shunned.".
trying to make us look like liars or what!.

An other lie is that the blood ties and family affection remain...but they fail to mention for family members living under the same roof. As for all other family members love and affection is demonstrated by not even communicating by email...keeping contacts to a bare minimum...

Thank you very much for all the hard work put into this video. I like how you call BS on Morris' story with simple reasoning and the re-enactment is priceless.

Elder and CO just dropped by....
by El_Guapo ini haven't been to a meeting in over a year, and as you know as soon as you stop attending meetings/fieldservice the "conditional" love becomes more apperant.
the coordinating elder starts off by saying how much he loves and misses me, etc.
i ask him, when was the last time you called or texted me?

Great job El G
I haven't been to a meeting in almost 4 years and like you I was a MS who was reaching out to be an elder. I am very sociable and went on vacation with a JW elder and his wife. I often invited people into my home and had a book study group that I conducted in our house. I mentored "fatherless" boys by studying and socializing with them. I decided to stop going to the meetings after the last sessions of our DC in 2010. My wife continues to go and all I got was "say hello to your husband" messages from the brothers. After 2 years I received one phone call from a brother I worked with on the RBC and on a Saturday afternoon 2 elders showed up at my door unanounced, in their suits and bible in hand. I told them I knew how to contact them if I needed to talk. Since then, nothing. Like many said, hospitality from the elders is one way - when you invite them. When my wife brings greetings from the hall or when she says that some "miss" me, I am tempted to reply that they all know where we live...why aren't they coming to visit? But in reality I want nothing to do with the conditional friends and I just want them to forget me...that shouldn't be hard for them.
