Help me understand the "cloud"

i am not a tech person but have been interested in all the talk about the cloud.. correct me if i'm wrong -.

my computor has memory/storage built in.

tons of stuff, family photos, personal records, my unfinished books.

To me the best advantages of Cloud services are that all my digital content is backed up in on place and I can access my photos, videos and music with all of my devices - smartphone, tablet and PC. I can also allow others to access some of the content to share photos for example. My TV can also access my cloud service. On a trip I could take picture using my smartphone, load them on the cloud and at home my family can see these pictures moments later.

Cloud services can also store your android apps, contacts and calendar - creating a google account will allow you save and access all that information by simply signing in. I change phones every 3 months and use multiple tablets for work and when I get I new devices all I need is to sign in my google account and all my information is available instantly.

Some cloud services are free, while others offer a free trial period after which you will be charged according to the size of your storage space.

Witness Weddings "Introducing Brother and Sister...!"

i can not stand it when the speaker at a witness wedding introduces the new couple as "brother and sister_____".

how messed up does that sound especially to non-witnesses??.

just another stupid witness tradition that makes the rest of the world see how crazy they are!.

In my native land women keep their maiden name and children born from the union can bare the father's or the mother's or both family names...of course JWs don't apply this in the congregation. My mom had a study who used both her maiden and husband's hyphenated names, but when she got baptized she dropped her maiden name like all other submissive JW wives.

FuGK This Religion- Stop Ruining My Life!!!

i am sorry for the title but today just took the cake.

after not going to the meetings since august and trying to sort through this with my family, my wife today told me she wants to separate because of our differences over being a witness or not.. this is ridiculous.

so i said- how can you separate from me when the religion you whole heartedly believe says you can only separate for 3 reasons- abuse, willful non-support, or stopping her from her meeting attendance, etc.

Sorry to hear that your wife is playing that card. When I told my wife I could not longer believe the ever changing " truth " she said she didn't want to be married to a non believer. I told her I understood her disappointment but today would be the only time I would ignore this kind of threat...if this was to reoccure she would no longer be married at all and there would be no turning back. It's been 4 years since and things have returned pretty much to normal between us as long as we keep the religion out of our marriage. Don't panic and be the best husband you can and see where this will take you.

Saturday I went to the flea market and across the street facing the parking's main gate there were 2 female JW standing by a literature cart...JWs are no longer different than the vendors who set up tables ro peddle their merchandise. Expect a great increase in reported hours and placements which is how the WT measures success.

does jesus become the alpha and the omega?

when the book of revelations starts off its clear god is but by the last chapter every time i read it its hard to tell so ce there's so many people talking john, angel,jesus etc.. its also implied at times the angels are his.

it seams to me that jesus get exalted to this postition or becomes one in the same with god not a trinity but god.

can't tell your thoughts?.

I had someone in the ministry ask me the same questions. I said I would research it and he asked me to explain it only using the bible. I told him I would be back....he said that I wouldn't. He was right...I dismissed him as an apostate. Sadly the alarm bells started to ring several years later after I started doing my own research. I could no longer blame the apostate for what I was discovering on my own.

as far as technology goes, i'd be surprised if the society doesn't capitalize on "podcast" style talks that will be played at local kh's.

it would take the crunch off the elder shortage and make sure the message is uniform.. .

What does the building of Warwick HQ have to do with the Society's expectation of the end?

this topic is a couple years late, but i just wanted to get this off my chest.

i don't understand why people say that the society starting a project that won't finish until 2017 means that the end can't come until then, or that they don't expect the end before then.

this isn't a very logical line of thought.

Keep your life simple...simply your lifestyle so you can do more in the last days...this is not the time to build new homes or start businesses...That's what the WTS is saying while they are modernizing their living conditions and expending their real estate portfolio with the money donated by destitute supporters.
