The concept of "new light" creates the illusion of a higher being correcting the path of his people in due time. It doesn't matter for JWs not to have the correct understanding now because if they wait long enough things will be corrected and in their view no other religion benefit from such divine adjustments.

this is exactly what seems to be happening, a believer runs in drops the stink bomb and runs out again...only to pear around the door when he/she deems it safe to do so.

A Believer...don't waste your time finding fault in other religions to validate that you have the truth. Have you ever considered that a false belief can be replaced by another false belief? That is what happened to my parents who replaced their belief in heaven and hell by the hope of surviving Armageddon and living forever in a paradise. My dad died 13 years ago and my mom is now 83 years old and she still believes the end is just around the corner. The WT religion is great at bait and switch or introducing new light...

A Believer: A large army of foot soldiers under the power of all dedicated males...that need to covert their head when they need to pray in the presence of a 12 year old baptized male who is unable to. They can't even teach in the congregation even when they are more capable then their male counterparts.

....he was remorseful so I guess he confessed at his judicial committee. Since he is shunned and his wife left him he must not have been repentant enough.
A Believer: JW brag about the "spiritual paradise" they live in...such quality people are the brothers...In the end these events is proof that JWs are no different than people in the world outside of their Kingdom Halls.

I am wondering if the victim and granddaughter are congregation members? Otherwise I have a hard time figuring out why a granddaughter would select a male massage therapist over a female...I know for sure that my 84 year old JW mother would never allow a male stranger to massage her...but a trusted brother...maybe. -

a jw was recently disfellowshipped heres the reason.
he was and elder and regular pioneer at the time baprized 40 years he decides to rent a room from a women who rents rooms out to singles ,he moves in and there's another guy there also renting a room he happens to be disfellowshipped .

Question for those that have been Disfellowshiped for apostasy VS succesfully fading
by NikL inthere are quite a few here who have been disfellowshipped for apostasy.. then there are those that have successfully faded.. why the different outcome?
are the ones that got df more out spoken?
or does the discrepancy lie with the elders?.

I stopped going to the meetings 7 years ago while my wife is still achive. Other than a courtesy visit from 2 elders after a full year out, they have left me alone. My younger brother is an elder in another congregation and I told him why I no longer believe in the WT and he said that nothing will ever change between us. To this day he has stuck to his word but that could change if I became openly critical of the WT and get disfellowshipped for apostasy. So fading works well for me .
