And we used to believe all of that to be The Troof.

YouTube's 'Colder Pizza' Reads Hilarious Proselytizing Letter by Awakened PIMO JW
by Roger Kirkpatrick infor the record, 'colder pizza' is the fifth youtuber to read this incredible letter.. jws hate this letter because it accurately expresses current watch tower teachings which they have embraced as "the truth" in language commonly used by jws in private conversation but would never express so candidly to non-jws.. most people have known at least one jw at some point in their life, but nobody knows what jws actually believe; therefore, they view jws as basically a harmless religion.
this letter is designed to correct that common misapprehension.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7099bfvhvs&t=378s.

Ron DeSantis: "We do not require assistance. The people of Florida will rebuild on our own"
by BettyHumpter inas if.no, of course he's already asking for federal aid.
it's the republican way.
florida needs the rest of the country to pitch in taxpayer dollars because it's different when it happens to me.

Is that because all of those with their hands out for free stuff congregate in the big metro areas where it is more plentiful?

Leaving JW - My own experience
by joao inas some of you may know, i disassociated myself from wt$ last april.
and i did it in the noisiest way i could find: i wrote my disassociation letter and made sure to send it to all elders of the two congregations in my town and to all jws whose email address i possessed.
i knew this would bring loads of issues because my wife was in as well as our younger daughter.

The result is that they are feeling betrayed by the vast majority of our "friends" who have only shown conditional love for them.
We can truly relate to that. We had one last JW friend that had stated in contact with reminders of the Memorial time and secret passcode to the Zoom Meeting, and CO visits, and assemblies (online recordings), but it seems they have now disappeared also. All the other "friends" have been out of touch for several years now.
We reflected on the fact that either no one noticed we were no longer there, or no one cared. (Yeah, that stings but I guess it's better than getting constantly badgered.) Certainly no one thought of Jude 23 and attempting to "snatch us out of the fire" if they had any inkling of us having some spiritual weakness. No one left their 99 sheet to rescue the 1 who had strayed (Matt 18, Luke 15).

Actually, I do believe that prayers can help. At least as much as any other placebo.

I'm Not Saying Americans are Stupid
by Simon inbut maybe they over-value their own abilities.
c'mon, imagining you could fight a gorilla, lion, elephant, or bear with your bare hands?!?.
this could be an amazing new reality tv show though ... "ok, bubba, you've just beaten a dog ... now for $16,000 do you want to fight a chimpanzee?

There must have been some Americans whose answer, eyes narrowing, was 'What do you mean if I was unarmed?' ~ Mark
I actually believe there is some truth to that. I have friends/family that have gone bear hunting (not Grizzly) and wild boar hunting for sport and were successful. There are those that feel immortal with a big gun in their hands. I always thought that during the GT I would like to be in their "group" so at least we'd have wild game to eat.

All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.

Never thought I would see this in my family circle
by Captain Schmideo2 inso, my 17 year old niece reveals to me that for the past few years, her father (my sister's husband) has been physically and verbally abusive to her.enough so that it finally came to a breaking point, and she reported it to the police.
she told me that she had wished she had told me sooner, but she was trying to wait til she was 18 so that she could leave.i knew that she and her parents had been locking horns for the past couple of years, but i chalked it up to teen puberty and general growing pains.
but on their last, most recent visit, i could tell that something was really eating at her.apparently, what set off this latest incident was that he discovered that she had been seeing/involved with a non-witness boy about her age, and got so violent with her that it left marks.ironically, she went and got help from her boyfriend's father, a paramedic, who documented the injuries and encouraged her to report it.so, yeah, he spent a night in jail.she is now staying at the parents of her boyfriend, while still trying to have some aspects of her old life (work, school, etc.

I thought bearing false witness against someone was a serious sin in the Bible
NOT when it is considered as Theocratic Warfare

Is the WT right that the Lamb's marriage is after Armageddon?
by Kosonen inthe wt org claims that the lamb's marriage will happen after armageddon, despite the fact that revelation 19 very clearly says that the lamb's marriage happens after the destruction of babylon the great.
and that after the lamb's marriage he with heavenly armies will go to destroy the wicked.. the wt claims that the order of events in revelation 19 is not really in that order referring to psalm 45. but i can't find in psalm 45 any explicit contradiction to revelation 19. .
paragraph 10 in the following article shows the wt org's view point:.

I see that some of you are not interested in understanding the Bible.
Likely best that we spend our time trying to understand something that is pertinent to today, or at least in this century/millennium.

I've never heard that elders are angels statement.
Maybe you slept thru it. Those meetings were a snooze-fest.
Elders are also the "glorious ones". Best not speak poorly of the "glorious ones". That's grounds for DFing.
