The new songs are like those from a bad Disney movie (that would be any recent Disney movie).

How would you rate the Watchtower approved songs?
by Vanderhoven7 ini was asking why jws won't sing any church hymns even if they were doctrinally correct.
jws asked me in response if i would sing any of their songs.. dan watkins wrote .
its a hilarious misunderstanding, if it does not come from the watchtower bible and tract society, then it is effectively considered as coming from satan.

If you have a better solution to the problem of evil than what Jesus offers, then why don't YOU present that in a new topic? - Sea Breeze
I kinda thought Nic offered the same solution to the problem of evil as does Jesus:
I would love to see EVIDENCE that proves otherwise.

Revisiting this post and catching up on the comments.
I think all the older ones begin to have doubts as they come to see they will not be among "millions now living [who] will never die". They realize all the dates that were promised to them have failed and they too, will die. Younger ones who are still blinded my still believe it will come.....eventually. Older ones who claim they still believe all that nonsense are just not telling the truth. Or they are delusional (still).

Look at the age of a few of them. Thinking of Sam Herd. He has to be approaching 80 (if not already 80). Seems he was already slipping a bit mentally. His health is not good. Of course, they don't have to replace anyone who dies as there is no specific number required. But the fact is, they will all continue to age and eventually become infirm or even die. So yes, they'll have to be replacements. . . . .
. . . . unless, of course, Armageddon really is right around the corner!

Thanking Jehovah God for Sports
by Sea Breeze inserena william's thanks jehovah god for allowing her to participate in sports.
how nice.
my jw parents followed the rules and thought they were doing jehovahs will by denying me participation in sports.

Serena William's thanks Jehovah God for allowing her to participate in sports.
I find THIS -- or, in fact, any sports player who thanks God for their victory -- to be the most presumptuous claim to make in public!
Are the really suggesting that God found the time and considered their personal sports victory SO important that He was too damn busy to answer the prayer of a child being raped? Or, a family being slaughtered by thieves? Or, a mother praying for remission of the cancer that is slowly eating away and killing her child?
Those people are egomaniacs and think WAY TOO MUCH of themselves. I hate to break it to them, but God doesn't give a pfuck about them or their goal/accomplishment.

IMO the WTS/GB is counting on the fact that as enough time passes they will "get past" all the CSA liability.
They have restructured (reworded) policy so that the bOrg has no liability in caring for the JW children in their care (or NOT in their care, which is what they claim). They believe they have taken the appropriate LEGAL steps to CYA. So, bottom line, if they can just live through the old CSA lawsuits -- deny, deny, deny, drag them out, fight for every dollar as though it's their final dollar, exhaust the plaintiff's attorney (who can't get paid until there is a settlement or judgement), and . . . . finally negotiate the lowest settlement possible (so the plaintiff & their attorneys FINALLY get some cash) AND insist on a NDA. NEVER will this shit be made public! Transparency is NOT allowed.

Will Governing Body follow through with New Zealand Royal Commission's recommendation to publicly apologize?
by was a new boy in'following on from an apology from the prime minister, the commission recommends all faith-based leaders offer a public apology, including the pope, the archbishop of canterbury, the president elect of the methodist church, the moderator of the presbyterian church in new zealand and the head of each individual presbyterian support organisation, the general of the salvation army, the overseeing shepherd of gloriavale, and the governing body of jehovah’s witnesses.'.

I found it interesting when I went to this link what the WTS said about 1975 in 1975, then 1976, then 1980. Quotes provided, not needed to link to Watchtower Online Library. https://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/1975.php
Go down to this heading:
Post 1975 Print Edition Changes -- BlondieThanks for posting that again Blondie!
One cannot begin to estimate the countless hours Paul gave to the compilation of WT material. While likely nothing would change the deeply entrenched thinking of a diehard PIMI cult member, there can be no greater source of information for any JW who is facing the personal crisis of discovering TTATT and researching in earnest for the "real" truth. JWFacts is the ultimate "Red Pill".

This discussion board attracts all sorts of people; the only thing we have in common is an interest in Jehovah's Witnesses. Some are informative, clear-thinking individuals. Some are not, but open to contrary thoughts. And then there are 'the prophets' who promote all sorts of predictions and off the wall beliefs.
The OP (and others like him) needs to take a deep breath and reevaluate his approach Bible prophecy.
Honest, guys, God did not appoint you to be modern-day prophets. And as expositors, you fail. As an earlier comment said: "when these predictions do not lead to divine intervention and the establishment of god's kingdom, peoplewill learn their lesson and stop making predictionswill wait for the next 'time of distress' and make the same predictions all over again."
Maybe see a counselor.Viv-- That has to be the best post you've made! Right on the mark! Especially the final thought.
