Hey Dan, the game was a heart break for the Buckeye fans, but hey, stuff happens in life. I went to the local bar and outside they barbequed venison ribs and burgers. Also, a guy french fried a turkey. Inside the bar, they had baked beans, potatoe salad, and regualar salad. In other words, we had a good time despite our loss.

Can We Give Words of Support To Simon For This Forum???
by minimus inwe go through cycles every so often here.
we get new posters every week and at times we lose some posters.
when most "newbies" find this site, they are thrilled to be able to express themselves in a way that they could never in a kingdom hall.

Yes, I agree that Simon is a right fine guy. My wife and Angharad communicate on a regular basis. We exchange presents on holidays. I am about to send them some arrow heads and post cards from a place called Sun Watch, a loccally excavated Indian site, for their two sons, who love the U.S Indians. I feel sorry for those who get mean with Simon. He is a good guy.

My soul mate is Zazu (Jan). Some of you will understand that, and some of you will not. For those who understand, explain it to those who don't.

Hey Dan, there is nothing more sexy than a pretty woman wearing a Bengles helmet, and yes the Bengles will be in the play offs. Oh, by the way, if she responded to your Bengles comment, you are in like Flin.

I have a hard time blaming the Watchtower
by spiritwalker in" if the watchtower said it, and the men on the platform preached it, then it must have been true.
so it was very hard to accept as an adult, that they were wrong.
i blame myself.

I don't blame anyone. I don't blame the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, and I don't blame myself. I was dealt a set of cards, and I played them, for better of for worse. I do agree those those who maintain that at some point in your life you have to stop blaming anyone and get on with living your life. To do otherwise is contraproductive.

Dan, I was worried with the title of your thread. I was thinking, that you, my friend, should be thinking about pretty wiminz and you were thinking about the end of the world. I am so glad I was wrong, and YES OSU is going to kick Michigan butt.

I will preface my remarks by saying that I did not read this entire thread. Usually I do, but I pretty well know the points of view. I would just like to say that Creationism is not a theory. It is simply a statement - God did it. Scientists are not interested in whether God did it or not, because it can not be proven one way or the other. Scientists are interested in HOW it was done, and that is what evolution is all about.

Dan, another thing. I think a lot of it has to do with the fear of rejection. Hey, someone wants to get a better job, but they are afraid of being turned down. Same thing with a woman. Sometimes you are turned down, and sometimes you are not. You know that the average baseball player only gets a hit less than one out of three. Well, job interviews and starting a relationship with a woman are about the same. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it does not. But, the more you "step up to the plate", the more likely you are to hit a home run.

Dan, You may eventually talk about OSU football if you find out that she likes it. Wow, what a combination, a woman who is hot and likes football. That might be too much to ask for, but it could happen. At the end of my last post, I mentioned the importance of talking and listening. My friend Gerry Bergman, who wrote the book on JWs and mental illness, advised his male students to just listen, and in most cases the woman will fall in love with you.

This is a very interesting, complex thread and subject. Who is at fault? I don't know. Perhaps, no one. I started a thread a long time ago, Free Will versus Determinism. I started out by saying that as a scientist, I believe in Determinism, that is, I have no alternatives. As a person, I "feel like" I have free will. Frankly, I don't know the answer. (If you are intertested, look up what I wrote.) Also, you might look in a General Psychology text on the subject of Atribution Theory. Very interesting stuff.
