  ok. the good news is that my wife has eased up on the whole "talking it out with the elders" thing.

  she now insists that she is doing her"own independent research with unbiased materials" on some subjects.

  Taking Back the Holidays

  with canada having observed its own thanksgiving day, i am reminded that the holidays are approaching beginning with halloween and terminating with twelfth night on 5 january.

  this will be an interesting holiday season for me.

  when i became one of jehovah's witnesses, i gave them all up of course.

  Update on our dount shop

  it has been awhile for me to post anything.

  i have been very, very busy.

  yesterday i past all of my rough-in electrical and plumbing inspections all my drywall will be up today and tape and muded.

  it is in the nature of man to want to have more than one woman.. a man cannot help himself.

  whenever a new branch or k/hall is built, its always proof that supposedly j is blessing his people and speeding up the work.

  does that mean when they have to close a bethel branch it means he is pissed off with "his people"????.

  after watching serenity's video i had to comment.

  i kept pausing the video looking for family members or others that i might know but haven't seen in years.

  hated the drive to holt, but loved the soft serve ice cream.

  Probably because we could never question our cult leaders, we find being able to do so here a refreshing change. Even those with extreme views are allowed to air them here. Do I believe OBVES? No. Would I defend his right to express himself here? Definitely. Go OBVES!

  well the 'standout' for me was the generation demo.

  you cant have a red blood cell treatment, but you could have a haemoglobin treatment, haemoglobin is a conscience matter.

  It's ironic they can't figure out how long a "generation" is. Jesus himself set the example telling the destruction of Jerusalem within a "generation". 37 years later, within a generation, it fell. Not a century, not several overlapping time periods. Of what value is a warning if no one can figure out when it ends? Don't waste your time on older witnesses. They now have invested way too much of their lives to leave. I'm sure many know deep inside there are serious doctrinal issues. It's such a shame & a waste of one's life. I know. I wasted 50 yrs.
