by Leander infor some reason on my way to the meeting last night i was thinking what if there was a reasoning book for talking with jws.
in particular a section with rebuttals for common jw thinking.
jesus disciple's made false predictions too.. jehovah has always used an organization.. the light keeps getting brighter.. who else is doing the work that we are?.

ever heard Any original sermons at a KH?
by badboy inat some churches they have `parables of the talents and give out 5ers to members of the congregation telling to increase the amount they have given.

It was really hilarious to some of us younger brothers. The speaker was basically going into graphic detail about how to please your mate and just how enjoyable sexual relations were. But the real kicker was the terminology he used, he employed a lot of slang in his discourse. At the time most of the congregation was composed of older friends, the looks on their faces was priceless.

Is holy spirit really involved with appointments?

do they claim these appointments are made by holy spirit?
i am aware that the elder body has to first approve it and then send it through bethel or the circuit overseer, but i'm not sure what happens next.

Xenu, my feelings exactly. As a matter of fact I had planned doing a post on the whole issue of pleasing men rather than God.
For starters the reporting of time to the elders and the WTBS is totally unscriptural. Using those reports these men criticize and basically browbeat individuals who they feel are'nt doing enough. That kind of thing annoys me to no end, since when does an imperfect man have the right to determine how many hours of preaching another person should be doing. Then there's the numerous labels they apply to people based on field service: pioneers, irregular and inactive publishers, low hour publishers, etc.. It makes me sick to my stomach the way the WTBS is constantly pushing people to do more.

Should Jws breastfeed
by badboy ini understand that breast milk contains white and possibly red blood cells(if i remember rightly from crisis of concsience)(i hadn't got my copy on me).. should jws therefore breastfeed, violating the coventant with noah or whoever it was.

Excellent question, I'd love to see the official answer on this one.
Speaking of breast feeding when I was much younger (12 or 13) there were a lot of babies at our congregation and it seemed like at least one sister during every meeting would have a breast exposed while feeding her child. For some reason the elders never saw the need to tell the sisters to feed the kids in the mothers room. I guess thats why they used to get up and walk to the back of the hall so frequently

Talk about being greedy, sounds almost like a pyramid scheme.
I have'nt actually heard any original sermons but once a visiting brother came to our hall and gave a discourse marriage and when he got to the section of the talk that dealt with sex he got so carried away the brothers had to escort him off of the stage. That was pretty damn original as far as I was concerned.

It seems like those are some the typical responses you hear when trying to talk with a JW about erroneous teachings from the WTBS. And while we're on the subject how would you respond to those type of statements. I'm going to attempt to talk to my wife again and I want to be well prepared when she comes at me with those type of responses.

What does the CO do with these recommendations after they receive them from various congregations?
Also does anyone know of individuals who were appointed while they were doing something unscriptural? (fornication, getting high, etc.)
I was'nt exactly perfect when I got appointed as a MS, but when they asked me if their was any reason I should'nt be recommended I said no without hesitation.
