And, how do you know Christians have never come to your door. Are you always home?
The only ones that go to peoples homes here are JWs and the Mormons, the same for hundreds of miles around … the same as it is in YOUR area. The city where I live is heavily laden with various denominations of Christendom. If any of their members were to ever be informed by their Pastors that they must obey Jesus' command to "go make disciples" they all would be in total disarray, completely untrained and unprepared. You should know from your own experience, having been a JW, that most people are not self-starting when it comes to preaching to others. They require shepherding to help them out into the field service, and to give them the encouragement they need to press forward. The Ministry School provides the necessary training which gives such ones the confidence they need so as to enable them to feel more natural in speaking to strangers. Of course Christendom doesn't have anything like that for all their members, do they? Of course they don’t! And it betrays just how serious they are NOT.
Am I always home? Nobody is always at home. But people have to go home sometime, do they not. I've lived in this town since I was born. And I wasn't born yesterday. I’ve got a pretty good feel of what the Churches around my neck of the woods do, and do not do.
Why am I not going door to door at present? Am I personally what this thread is about. Seems to me like I entitled it “Satan’s Time Lessens”. Shouldn’t your question be the subject of a different thread? Surely you can find something to discuss that’s relevant to the subject, can’t you? Carl (Larc) was the one that initially raised the question you picked up on. Of course he did so for the purpose of hijacking the thread -- by focusing the attention on the author of it rather than the subject matter. The jerk!
