  I personally find the word so repugnant that when I was in High School I ended up in suspension for jumping on the back and pulling out the hair of a very popular jock in our school. He and his entourage decided it was hysterical to not only make fun of a teenager girl that was mentally challenged, but walk behind her making weird noises etc. Well I just about had enough and jumped on his back, and hit him with all my might, as he threw me against a locker. Personally didn't care that I got in school suspension, and of course he received a warning not to do it again.

  I hate injustice, probably one of the reasons why I do the work that I do now. I have always felt that it was my job to speak for those that do not have a voice. I really think it should be everyones responsibility, and you would not see actions against others that you do today. JMO

  Please remember that comments that you are reading on the internet has no visual with words. There is no body language, movement, range of voice, all ways that we decide in life what people really mean.

  I know for myself I have always enjoyed your comments here, and especially the banter that you have with other posters. Just know that all of us here feel like we really do not fit. I think it is programmed in all of us, we here are all trying to find a place that we fit in life. I hope you come back, and see how many are very concerned for you, and miss you.

  a card I received that reallly upset me

  a couple fo days ago two witnesses knocked with their children, they gave me flowers and a card with the following message:.

  "we want you know that we love you, and that you are in our prayers..we are thinking about you.. we remember too, and are grateful for yur support in the past, especially 6 years ago, when you came to the home, following our loss of dennis (not his real name).. in these last days, life is harder then ever.

  satan is trying to break all of us, be it through health problems, the ones we love and even our brothers and sisters where it hurts the most.

  Ground Zero

  sitting around a campfire last weekend, a few of us were discussing what is "going on" on the rebuilding or the construction of what is being built at ground zero in nyc.. we all agreed that we see nothing on the news....we see nothing in magazines....we hear nothing at all about the progress (or lack of) in whatever was chosen to be built there!

  it is as if this never happened.....at least to those of us far beyond walking past the site to actually see what is going on!

  (being 400 miles away from nyc!).

  I know one thing that has been holding up progress is everyone coming to an agreement on the Freedom Tower. How those that lost their lives with be remembered. Some want all the names written, others only want the first responders, others just want a memorial garden. I believe they are on round 5 of drafts sumbitted. It will take sometime for everyone to decide and agree on how it will all come together. I have to say for the families, I am sure it has been a healing process, and for others very frustrating.

  Has your brain been re-wired with the "F" word?

  i learned an interesting fact from my father's doctor when he was being treated for a stroke.

  mom had mentioned that even though dad couldn't speak well enough to ask for a glass of water he could clearly say, "goddammit".

  the dr. explained that epithets are from a different part of the brain and this area had not been affected by the stroke.. i found this very interesting.

  Well I am screwed. If it is a part of the brain that doesn't die when you have a stroke, or have dementia I will be cursing at everyone that I can see. I have no problem using any vulgar language. I have to remind myself at work that I can't, but at home I swear like a sailor.

  i saw your wife at the special assembly day; she didnt mention you and didnt want to talk, so i just let her go.

  Sorry you have to experience this at family gatherings. Geee sure puts a damper on just having a good time.

  What I did with my neices and nephews was....I made sure that mom and dad were no where in sight, and gave them each my business card. Told them to put it away in their pockets, put it someplace no one knows, and if they every need anything...call me I will be there. Seems to have worked. They call me when they are in a jam since my JW family only wants them to feel bad about being a kid. So far nothing harmful, I did tell them if they did anything against the law, or was harmful to themselves or others I would have to tell their parents.

  Hate you have to do that with family that shun you.

  I am so sorry that was just put upon you with you having no say in it. He certainly had to be thinking of returning to the "lie" long before he told you on your honeymoon.

  First protect your two daughters from this cult. JW women are treated like second class citizens....they have no rights. Also, they do not encourage education either for your girls. Make sure upfront with him that you will NOT raise your daughters like that. That is what I did to my ex-JW husband. Guess you can figure once I put my foot down he left.

  Keep coming back we are here for you.
