been here since '01, but don't even have 500 posts.

Wow this is a great thread. I have always wondered how many different people read, but post infrequently. I had to push myself to get to a thousand posts. I really thought it was wonderful since I have been here for years.

So nice to read all of your posts that don't post all the time. Glad you are here, and nice to meet you.

It is in our nature....remember we are ex-JW's who used to go door to door, with our own agenda, and speak to people that we thought wouldn't listen to reason.

Why im not intrested in living in Jeh's New World Order.....

the existence the the guitar is a problem...sure you can playa little..but what happens when someone who has never heard of metal, punk, hard rock or simple rocknroll from this old world start experimenting innocently some sunny day unaware that just under his own fingernails lay the power of evil musical notes-demonic music notes- that strung together would have caused one to be at the very least severely tongue lashed in this old world..but in the new world princes must ensure that all is kept pure and therfore anyone playing the guitar must never invent any song that even remotely sounds like anything from this old world.

perhaps all guitars should be destroyed due to their potential for playing loud screeching metal mayhem.

why take chances.. no competetive sports....oh sure a friendly game of rock counting when ur not enjoying a perfect tomato or singing at the sky in worship.

Well as a woman, I have no interest in how the GB describes paradise.

Flowered dresses, cooking for my man, cleaning for the family, smiling all the time, covering my head when in company of any brother if I need to pray, only allowed teaching if another woman is in my presence, giving my due, and hoping it will be returned in a timely manner, having my husband the head tell me what he wants to do, make sure I am not giving head......just shoot me now.

The Story of Mr. & Mrs. Flipper

it was requested of someone on the board via pm to tell our story.

i'll try to keep it brief, for me that's hard.

mrs. flipper was raised catholic and got out when she was 12 because the nuns and cathlolic school teachers didn't like her independent thinking mind.

Thanks for sharing your life with us. What a bunch of stupid elders!!!!! They actually think that they have the ability to counsel others, with absolutely no education in the field. They do not care the lives that they destroy by not encouraging folks to talk to people that could actually help. Glad you got out and found Mrs. Flipper.

Daddy, What's a.....

my wife works weekends 3rd shift , so usually i'm taking care of my 2 sons while my wife sleeps.

today i put my 2 year old down for his nap.

this gave me the opportuniuty to go out to the landfill to get rid of the old bushes and brush my wife pulled up from the backyard.

awwww I sure miss my kids at that age. When my oldest daughter was his age, she wanted to know where boys put their penis when they get dressed? She said she felt sorry for them because that penis must get in their way, and get stuck on their legs. Oh the days!!!!

People On This Board Have Feelings!

i think it's easy to forget that our communication with others here can be very real.

we're not just "posters".

we're persons, real people--- and we have feelings and emotions.

I guess I take what everyone says with a grain of salt.

This is a recovery board, so everyone here is in different phases of recovery. Anger is one phase. That is why sometimes individuals do not think about what they are saying. I don't think most purposely try to be mean..they are just pissed off. If you read these angry posters posts after time goes by, I think you will be surpised how they have mellowed out. Of course, there are those that will be pissed off for life, for those posters if they stay that way, they will never be healthy. JMO

Welcome uncertain glad you joined us. Remember "truth" is in the eye of the beholder. Truth means different things to different folks. Stay around there is much to learn on this forum.
