I also had the book study in my home, and folks met at my house for field service on Saturday. Hmmmm I think that mostly they were well behaved...I just got sick of people in my house all the time.

How many of you had book studies held in your home?
by FreedomFrog inmy ex and i did for several years in our new home.
i was excited at first because that meant we were "good" dubs.
after about 6 months someone stuck their finger in our candle we had burning in the bathroom and splashed wax all over our new bathroom wall.

What would you say to this........
by fifi40 inyesterday my friends 14 year old son died after a lenghty stay in hospital.
he had cystic fibrosis and in september caught an infection resulting in him spending pretty much the rest of his time in ic during which he suffered 2 heart attacks and was on life support and for the final few weeks has not been conscious due to medication.
sadly he lost his battle yesterday.. he was a little chap who i knew and was friends with my son from first day at primary school.

I am so sorry for you and your son, and the childs family.
Your ex-husband's pat answer is one of the major reasons why there are so many mental health issues in the cult. Grieving is a process....they do not let anyone grieve when they lose someone they love. It is unnatural, and unhealthy not to grieve.

I am officially divorced
by Billzfan23 inyesterday was the day - that my marriage of over 10 1/2 years to my jw wife was dissolved....finally.... - i am in a terrific mood today!
my wife and i have joint physical and legal custody of the kids which is awesome!
she doesn't make them go to meetings or go out in service and she has to allow all extra carricular activities.

Yup, my vote is to loyalty with the wife, and this person that still treats you as a human. Give her that..she is not so indoctrinated that she shuns you because you are fading. Meetings are monthly..only one farewell party. Go to the party.

My nan's Funeral

it went reasonably ok, i didnt make any effort to speak to my parents instead i went and chatted to other family members i havnt seen in years.
i also had hubby's mum and dad there too for support.

I am so sorry for your loss Es...my heart is also breaking for your mom. I can just feel her pain of not being allowed to be near you, once she saw you the need to touch you outweighed the reaction of the JW's in the room, including your dad. parts of the video were really funny. I take prempro..works like a charm. I have some hot flashes, but my concern was the headaches and heart palpations, they were scary...felt like I was having a heart attack.
