TRINITY Challenge for JW's, Unitarians and Anyone Else

trinity challenge using only the new world translation of the holy scriptures -- let us debate and reason on the scriptures about whether god almighty is a trinity, or is only one person.. on another thread, bane said that we know for a fact immediately that nearly all religions other than jehovah's witnesses are false because almost all of them believe in the trinity.

and bane claims he can "out-scripturize" anyone with the help of jehovah.

I have a hard time even understanding the consensus definition of the trinity doctrine. Some seem to view it as 3 separate gods, others view it as 1 with 3 split personalities that prays to itself, and others seem to think of it as a bit of both, like a siamese 3 headed god type situation. In the first two lines in your own definition how is that not a contradiction?

"* There is only One True God by Nature.

* There are Three Distinct Persons who share equally the Nature of God."

...I don't get it. I honestly don't get it. Is it 1 or 3? How can it be both? And where does the Bible say anything about 3?

Kingdom Interlinear = apostate literature?

has anybody else come across jdubs that have never heard of the kingdom interlinear translation?

i noticed this artcle http://www.soundwitness.org/jw/kit_part1.htm and i've found when i asked witnesses about it some never heard of it and other's had heard of it but didn't have one and didn't know if they were still in print and one got all weird and suspicious saying "well what do you want it for?".

when i called the watchtower and asked if it was still in print the guy had to put me on hold and look it up somewhere, he didn't know off the top of his head.

for all those here who who saw and may have met fred franz.what would he say about global warming, facebook twitter, the death of mitcahel jackson since mitchael was a witness.what would he say about lady gaga, justin biber, usher and emeniem.how do you think he would have reacted to the events of 9/11 and bible prophecy.would he see it as true signs of the end.. so the overall question how would fred franz respond to the 21 st century with it's advanved technolgy and war on terrorism and the economic crisis that this country (the u.s) is facing.please tell us your thoughts..

reading about the mass amounts of money involved in all this acquisition of blocks of properties... in new york city no less, .

is so contrary to how the organization expects it's loyal "servants" to live their lives, .... it is shocking!!

these buildings are, for the most part (maybe all) renovated with free labour and then sold for great fortunes.

I think with allot of churches that do have collection plates most people only put a dollar in and just a few members put in big bucks and they're the ones carrying the load and keeping the lights on. Allot of Kingdom Halls probably are struggling to pay the bills because with no collection plate being passed people don't feel as compelled to give anything and then often times when they do they put it in the "worldwide work" box rather than the Kingdom Hall one. I wouldn't be surprised if allot of times a couple of elders end up footing the electric bill.

They told me on the phone that the literature is all special order now and isn't in stock at the literature counter anymore because "We still need to pay for it"... I said "Oh really I thought it was free?" and the lady stuttered and said "Well yeah ugh well you would have to make a donation for it" then another guy said the reason it's not in stock is because it's free...

The book of Job

be honest ..... the book of job makes the god of the bibke look the same a the little prick with a magnifying glass burning ants with the sunlight.

don't worry, they have no feelings ... they're just ants!!!.

The book of Job is the main place in the Bible that depicts Satan as more of a literal being than a concept of wickedness... Really the idea that he's a fallen angel is barely touched upon in the Bible, and I don't see a pitchfork anywhere... But Job is kind of an interesting and unique book that gives a unique look at God and the devil, and there's some debate about when it was written and that it might have been in the time of the patriarchs. It's a unique format too as a big chunk of it is basically a conversation of statements between Job and his friends. Interesting bit of literature there for it's age and all... Even atheists can appreciate it.

Doesn't that go for a "donation" of like a hundred dollars and you have to pracitically be a pioneer or minsterial servent to get one now?

Another" Windowless Kingdom Hall" thread..

well, i have talked to a few people and no one knows of any kingdom halls that have no or little windows.

does anyone here have an address or picture of one they have seen?.

i tried doing a search but it looks like the only one commenting on them are ex jw's... any info anyone?.

Here they have windows but they are covered with curtains and it's not like anybody is allowed to get up in the middle of a meeting and go look out them or anything so they might as well not have any.

Would you say anything to someone that is accepting JW literature ?

there is a woman at the place i work that has studied off and on for several yrs with one of the jw employees .

today i was in her office and i noticed in her bookcase a collection of jw literature .

she has the insight books , a revelation book and some other brochures .

The literature is getting more and more blatant these days with all the talk about "Jehovah's corporation" and so forth it would seem to me that it would seem strange and bizzare to anybody innocently reading it even without hearing from any critical sources...
