  The jehovah god worshipped in the bible is not the Father in Heaven Jesus spoke of. Jesus never mentions this jehovah yahweh evil god of murder and genocide. This seems more like a satanic god, who mimics the True God who Jesus spoke of. The god who misleads the entire inhabited earth is the jehovah yahweh god in my opinion.

  i am not a jehovah's witness but i am very interested, i have many questions and hope they can be answered here.. i do believe in god, privately.

  i do say my prayers daily and do believe god helps me in countless ways.

  but i don't go to any church.. i have always been impressed at how smart, polite and nice jehovah's witnesses are and i always make time to speak to them when they call at my door.

  Hi LillyC, and welcome. As you mention above in your impression of JWs, this is also what hooked me. They are taught to market themselves this way at regular meetings, to achieve interest in people. They are a true Doomsday Cult, and their motive is to recruit as many people as possible by hooking them with these tactics and others you have yet not discovered. Please, Please, Please research them. They are not what they seem.

  folks are about as happy as they decide to be.. looking on the bright side of life gives you more of a foothold when things go awry.

  nurturing hope builds a foundation for you which enables you to save for tomorrow and build toward the future and hang on when things get tough.. people dig their own graves when they become pessimists.

  "why bother" replaces "that's worth a try!".

  Hi all,

  I just want to share an image of the painting that really helped me see in visual terms how I was feeling when I left the WT. This painting gave me strength in looking at the ship being tossed around in the sea and the women watching on the shore. I visualized myself looking at the Watchtower ship of nightmares sinking into the sea. I still think of WT this way. I do hope the rank and file keep realizing they are hanging onto a sinking ship with no course to sail. There is no New System where they will all live forever on paradise earth hugging tigers after they get off their ship. It's going down!! And their pagan orginated desert god won't save them.
