  rich and james out of guilt, richard out of depression.. james and rich were both under 30 years old.. after richard wheelock (a bethel heavy) killed himself the society changed it's stand on whether suicides could be resurrectioned or not..

  So you admit that no religion is without evil in their ranks? You said it yourself, so why is the Watchtower any different than any of them in this regard? How can it be said that it has exceptional moral standards? And why would God allow this in HIS organization? Talking about pedophiles and suicides in other relgions sure as hell invalidates them, doesn't it? If child-molesting Bishops are enough to close your mind to say, Catholicism, then the WTS has them beaten...Why are they so pure and different again?

  Please, do explain. I thought only Jehovah knows what's in our hearts. You claim to know, not only our/my intentions in opposing your viewpoints, but how we feel inside.

  guilt and fear come from the inside of a person it makes them reason wrongly in the 4% of brain that is being used, one of satans greatest weapons against the weak.

  I thought guilt and fear came from our God-given moral conscience? You mean it doesn't? And we do NOT use %4 of the brain. Wouldn't that mean Jehovah UN-intelliegently designed us? And how is guilt one of Satan's weapons? Shame is what we're supposed to feel when we do something bad, isn't it, kjw53?

  with the continual emphasis that the watchtower places on following and trusting the fds and the gb in particular, one can only come to the following conclusion:.

  the watchtower (and the jehovah's witnesses) are followers of a cult that worships the fds and the gb!.

  essentially everything in the bible refers to the fds/gb.. everyone must listen to and follow what the gb says.. everyone must consume the "rich spiritual food" provided by the fds and the gb!.

  atan owns every false religion on the planet-he infiltrated lies into them centuries ago, never corrected. satan is posing as God in those religions-the only religion he needs to attack is the one that has the real Jesus, and he does infiltrate-so corrections must be made. Find the religion that makes corrections in front of the hearts of the ridiculers and that religion will prove to have Jesus in the end.

  hi, i'm not new here, been lurking forever, just a new poster.

  i was a jw for 25 years, did it all,been out now for 7 years, for the most part have healed pretty good.....but some things can't seem to shake.

  the thing i'm most regretful of is raising my children in that cult, if i could just re-do that, i think i could be totally over the trauma of the 25 years i was in.

  Perry, I am personally unimpressed with this. Too much "he-said, she-said" BS. What matters is the evidence, not what people say. And if the universe didn't come from nothing, what did God make it from? How did God make everything? When something is DESIGNED and CREATED, Perry, it is formed from preexisting materials. If it is not, then what the hell is it made from then? And who says the universe comes from nothing anyway? It probably came from something. And even if we don't know or understand how something works, it doesn't mean God did it, for the EXACT same reasons not being able to explain how a magician can pull a rabbit out of a hat does NOT indicate that it's really magic. And even if God did make everything, what God are you talking about? Are you aware that people of all faiths that believe in a creator-god use this exact same reasoning to refute evolution, and then conclude that THEIR God made everything? Do you know they use this stuff to prove THEIR God created everything? Your creator-god ideas are thus no more valid than any of theirs. And if evolution is wrong, it doesn't mean God made everything. Certainly, there are more hypotheses in this argument than just two extremes. You seem too smart to be so close-minded.

  if i read a passage of scripture and conclude about it something that opposes the wt's view of the same passage, in your mind who has the truth about that passage (i.e.

  who is correct)?

  You quoted 1 Corinthians 13:1 in your post, even as Satan quoted Psalm 91:11, 12, to Jesus (at Matthew 4:6), but I am no more impressed by your taking it upon yourself to use the word of God in positing an argument about me 'coming to an understanding' with you as to your point of view than was Jesus in coming to an understanding with Satan as to his point of view. What's wrong with you?

  i saw jehovah witnesses today and actually had a panic attack !!

  i saw them in the distance going door to door , (about 6 of them plus child in pushchair ) i knew i had to walk past them but started panicking !

  i was thinking please dont speak to me or i will explain why im not interested in your religion , i left my town to get away from them !

  due to my daughters sexual abuse by a ex min servant who had abused others in the congregation also but had never been reported !

  I can relate with this 100%, looloo. Not when I see jws (I'm still forced to go to the meetings anyway), though. I don't have them anymore because I don't believe anymore. I had panic attacks up until I started seriously doubting. This religion will certainly leave you emotionally crippled and anxiety-ridden...I know.

  I feel like my skin is actually thicker because of this place and that's a trait that no amount of money can buy and no amount of power can squelch.

  I agree with that. I was a big BABY before. After a month being on JWN, I can handle criticism a lot better. People are allowed to disagree with me now. I'll allow it. Lol.
