Greg Stafford's New Book - 3 Dissertations on JWs

the book some of you have been waiting for, "three dissertations on jehovah's witnesses" by jw apologist greg stafford is published and will begin shipping in about a week.

if you're interested, it is available from elihu books at this url: http://www.elihubooks.com/.

stafford has done some additional study and research relative to watchtower chronology, and there has been some rumour that he may be advocating a softer organizational stance on it, although i have not read the book yet, so it will be interesting to see what he says.. here's the table of contents:.

I don't know if it was hype to get people buying the book, but I heard that some of his statements, on chronology, may be putting him in line to get DF'ed.
Just a rumour - I apologise, in advance, if it is unfounded.

ok. i was just reading another thread about how lot screwed his daughters, and how this was excused..(thanks, farkel), and i got to thinking....... just how many sick things are in the ot that we just gloss over?

forget all of the insane wars.....what about heady murder, sex with parents, etc, disgusting things that are unspeakable in today's society but was so common and lauded for 'god's people' in the bible.. ashi

Since this has been posted in "Arts, Literature and Music", am I to assume that we are discussing this in the context of a hedonistic lifestyle as a form of artistic expression?

Sex and death, pushing the limits of human experience and sensibilities, have always been features of artistic license (and licentiousness, in some cases).

does the bible condem smoking??

think about it if the bible says we must present our bodies as a living sacrifice to god and we must be holy because god is holy is that really possible, well i would say no and do you wanna no why "well im gonna tell you anyway".well think about driving our cars we r deliberately polluting the earth which god condems,and what about the food we eat which contaminates our bodies,which i think would really corrupt our bodies,and think about it we are imperfect according to the bible so how can we make ourselves holy.also imagine a jw has aids and then is prescibed a drug which can corrupt our bodies but helps the patient with his suffering (ie:ganga is given to aids sufferers to help them to regain appetite for eating)but i suppose that would be ok for that purpose.one more thing for the last few months ive been coughing a lot and i havent smoked for years but guess what i smoked a menthol fag today and voila my coughing dissapeared so do you think the fag helped to cure this problem mmmmm i wonder if that is a sin??
