  Going out with a bang

  after much deliberation, i decided to go "out" at the end of a public talk.

  it didn't go down too well, but at least i was able to give some of my reasons for leaving.. i've put some of the details on my homepage.

  i'll update it more when i get the time and the strength.

  Thanks to an appreciated friend, with a recording studio, the sound file has now been cleaned up and reduced in size to less than 5Mb.

  Climbing the corporate ladder at congregations

  at the hall i used to go to started to notice certain men volunteering all the time to do talks and helping others with needs in the hall.

  though there was nothing wrong with that i started to become suspicious because they were not like that previously.then some months later these men became elders and some became ministerial servants ,and guess what did they volunteer for talks as much maybe be as helpful as much well i will leave you to guess that.so the question is why such a change of heart after the promotion,what were they really after did they want to fit in or want authority over others.

  I never had time to volunteer, after appointment.
  I worked my socks off, and no matter how many little old sisters I tried to visit, there were always many more.

  The assignments changed, and the workload increased.
  In over three years as the TMS Overseer, I only once had to stand in myself, and only had to call on others five times (unusual, huh?).
  I was more impressed by ones that kept their assignments, or warned me early, than those who stood in.

  Most "anointed" I know are VERY humbled by it, not considering themselves to be elite or superior in any way.

  Most consider a personal relationship with their Father and their Lord, to be the most important factor.

  Heard it done.
  Believe in it.

  I understand that there's at least one common prayer language.
  Whether you want to class it as a supernatural event, or some kind of racial memory thing, it would appear to exist.

  Before I get jumped on - no I've not done a scientific study on it.

  i see in the yearbook 2002 that jw make 3 new movies abauot bloodissu, and they get first price fore one of them in a contest, gold camera award.

  I've got to offer a contrary view, I'm afraid.

  I believe that the video, that I saw recently (my wife REALLY wanted me to watch it with her!), may save lives.
  My wife didn't really know what cell-savers and haemo-dilution meant. She was going to sign "No!" on the Advance Medical Directive, even though I explained them to her as best I could.
  Now she has changed her mind, due to some emphasised comments (in the video) to the effect that the blood is kept in circulation.

  At least some dubs will now accept these two procedures, whereas previously they may not have.

  New Book on Jehovah's Witnesses?

  we've had two from ray franz in the 1980/90's and one from jim penton (mid 80's) and some brilliant tomes on specific subjects such as those from carl jonnsen but now we're in 2002 isn't it time we had a new and up-to-date masterpiece to defend truth against error?.

  what i mean is that most witnesses today may not be too bothered about beth-sarim or what happened within the wt back in 1975 they want to read something bang up-to-date in one succinct volume.. does anyone know of any works in progress?

  the watchtower apologists (such as stafford and furuli) are quite active why aren't the ex-jw's?
