please can everyone think twice before they make posts containing bad language (even if not directed at individuals), graphic sex talk and nude or semi-nude pictures (especially if explicit).
this is not what the forum is here for.
if you want to post stuff like that then there are lots of places on the internet for it and, more importantly, if people want to see and read stuff like that then they are quite capable of going to these places themselves.. i know everyone likes to 'let their hair down' now and again, me included, and i like pictures of sexy women as much as anyone .

It would be fairly simple, have little overhead, and with a little sensible placing of threads in the right section should reduce offended sensibilities.

this isn't in any way jw related, but will anyone be watching 'the hunt for britains pedophiles' which starts tonight?
from what i have heard about it, it supposed to be extremly shocking and disturbing, as the bbc got to shadow the scotland yard pedophile unit for two years and this documentary is the end result.
it is supposed to be no holds barred and designed to shock, but in an effort to make more people aware of how huge the issue is here in the uk.
I'm still watching it - it's galling.

The sentences are so short!!! 1-3 years, with the examples I heard (I didn't see the start of the program).
Some of the investigations are longer than the sentences!!!

Since I DA'ed in January the local congregations have had a number of items on apostacy and making the "troof" your own.
My wife asked me if I had ever fully believed.
I just stared at her, incredulous at the ignorance.
I had been a "true believer", an elder, zealot, reaching out for Circuit work, etc., and she asks me if I ever made it my own!!!
That's the salve to the JW conscience - those who leave can't have ever been fully convinced, otherwise how could they leave the "spiritual paradise"?
As with other comments, I would add my agreement that if they haven't been there they will never fully comprehend.
