  If you seriously think that you have a good standing before a just and righteous God, displaying the attitude that you've demonstrated on this site, then you may have another thing coming. I only hope, for your sake, that He's merciful to you because you may have an eternity to ponder it.

  As for you "saying things for a purpose", I only wish you would turn that energy into listening to what others have to say. You might actually learn something. Instead you continue to make yourself look an idiot, regardless of how much intellect you are hiding away behind that manic persona (don't disappoint me by shattering that illusion, too!).

  This was while Jesus was washing his disciples feet (the context of why he was saying this is as important as the sound-bite). Yet the disciples were to be joint-heirs, co-rulers.

  Yes, a slave may not be greater, but can he be equal, in some sense?

  Jean's fine, but Brent took a minor stroke about 2 years back, I believe.

  They still continued to work him to the bone, though, poor guy!

  I try not to forget that many of these people do what they do out of sincerity (as I did myself). Whilst the WTS stinks to high heaven, I have little against the majority of individuals.

  I'll take the idea of a reply card under advisement, though

  i still say that, christiaity is f--- up in these last days.. christianity teaches that the messiah is god, when the bible clearly points out that jesus is a prophet sent by god... jesus prayed to god<----that's the biggest proof... so i think if anybody believe that jesus is god, is not only an'-ti-christ(not accepting) but also a liar, foolish, and you knoweth nothing, and you are not close to god or christ, you are closer to that devil which we call satan....

  Like you, I often end up first looking things up in the NWT because of decades of using it. I also hate cut'n'paste psuedo-research.

  I'm afraid that you didn't answer my questions for the following reasons:

  1. My point was that the Spirit has specific conversations attributed to him, beyond just crying out.

  2. Are you, therefore, casting doubt on Pratten's translation of Athenagorus?

  3. I was refering to Origen, who you quoted, not the bible. You didn't address this.

  I accept that neither of us are going to convince the other, but I'm always one to broaden my horizons and understand a view or piece of research. There's evidently been a reasonable amount of work put into this.

  Blood crying out: No specific words are attributed to it, it was in the form of bearing witness. This was not the case with the Holy Spirit, where specific sayings are recorded.

  Athenagorus: He consistantly calls the Holy Spirit a "He", doesn't he.

  Also, what do you think Origen was implying by the term Autotheos?

  Just to qualify something - I'm not trying to be antagonistic, and neither have I any interest in convincing you of the Trinity doctrine. The Holy Spirit is the teacher. I'm just interested in your viewpoint and how you support it.

  I haven't finished reading that site, as I haven't had time, but I shall peruse it further

  personally, i do not believe god ever has or ever will exist.

  i have my reasons -- i guess i could be considered an agnostic, rather than an athiest.

  i was curious to see what the larger part of the former borg community believed, now looking from the outside in, rather than the opposite.

  If you say no more, refuse to put anything in writing, and refuse to answer their questions, they shouldn't be able to DF you until you get remarried (or caught sleeping over).

  If that is 3-5 years after you stop going, they may decide to leave it alone.

  However, there is a caveat - if you stop supporting your wife at any point, they will likely invoke 1Tim.5:8 and DF you anyway.
