  i think when people leave the organization, they lump it all together- jehovah- religion, organization, etc.

  i am not doubtful there is a god, but just doubtful that he used the wts to be his one & only means.

  the original text doesnt say Jehovah, neither does it translate to Jehovah, unless naughty people translate it.

  I do agree that we do reap what we sow while here on earth.

  Well the way I see it is.....

  Years ago people were getting restless and impatient waiting for their Lord to return. So they created an image of God and called it "Jehovah". Now, when people realise that their Jehovah is nothing more than a name, just an image with no real power, when they realise they were lied to, conned, I think that gives them a right to be angry. Let them vent, let them get it out their system.

  Strange how history repeats itself isnt it?

  there are far less jw posters on this site than i had originally thought there would be, and was happy to find far more xjw's than i thought existed on the internet, and am curious if it was simons intention to create a board solely for jehovahs witnesses thoughts or interpretations in the beginning, or if he had intended this site to become a 'meet and greet' for those who left (or got booted from) the borg, or both?

  the reason i ask, is that the wts teaches that surfing the internet 'while being an educational tool' is roughly the equivalent of camping out in satans colon, and i can only imagine a site not (just an educated guess) sponsored by the wts with the slogan "discussion forum for anything jw related...everyone is welcome!

  " could only seen as a roadmap into the devils gaping piehole.. i'm pretty green around here, and was just wondering..

  their ruling, in my opinion, is reasonable, whereby the spirit of gods law to abstain from blood is observed and they have avoided the pitfall of deciding the minute details for every christian conscience.

  to observe the "spirit" of god's law regarding blood would mean not to eat it.

  although there is still some blood in all meat that we consume, the jews knew what was meant by this law, and that was largely to eat of only properly bled meat.. .

  Using this same reasoning, we would also not be permitted to accept salvation through the ransom sacrifice because we would be forced to abstain from Jesus' life-giving blood.

  Although they dont need to do this, as they forbid the rank & file from partaking of this anyway.

  Hi BJC,

  I am just wondering a few things, why you still use "Jehovah" as the divine name when clearly it is erroneous; you should know that "YAHWEH" or "JAHVEH" is more accurate.

  In this way, finally when all of God purposes are fully understood by mankind and the "mystery of God" is finally finished, Jehovah thus becomes the "God of the inspired utterances of the prophets".

  Is not God already "God of the inspired utterances of the prophets"? Why would he only become this after man has understood? Found this confusing.

  JW's have never been true to JAH in all their existence; from the beginning they have been led by wicked men and imposters set on scattering the flock, not bringing them to Christ. Why do you continue to delude yourself and others placing them in a position they do not belong in? They are not Israel of our day, although Israel certainly makes up a number in that place. These are the ones who are called out, who are drawn to Christ.

  Also, how are things going according to your original timeframe?

  Help! Rev. 1:11, someone expain?

  so here i am just reading my the book of revelation in my bible (nkv)..and i'm thinking "how can they read this and not see that jesus and god are the same?

  so i get out my wife'ss bible (nwt) and boom there it is...my bible has the alpha and omega refrence in rev 1:11...hers does not.

  i then take a look at rev 22:19 and there it has the punishments for adding or deleting anything from this book.

  The thing with this is that how do you know the Greek text is what was actually written down by John?

  Just as the Watchtower have changed scriptures by adding / removing words in certain places, so could have people in past generations, which includes the generation from which the Greek manuscripts originate. Can you imagine how distorted they could be? Its like Chinese Whispers.

  Hence the reason why the law was to be written on the hearts of Christians, so that wicked men, plunderers cannot interfere with it and change it to suit their twisted doctrine. The bible (not all of the bible is scripture) can serve as a written reminder; but ultimately the true law will come from your heart, if you listen to what the spirit has to say.

  Letter to the Congregations (Dateline)

  last night my father called me and informed me about "the letter" that is going to be read tonight at his congregation re: dateline.

  he said hed let me know what it said, and that "apparently the society feels as though some things were misrepresented on the dateline program.

  " i havent been on here the past few days, so im sure the letter has been discussed on the forum (i did see bill mention it in his thread)........i was just wondering if anyone had a copy, or just a quick summary on what the letter had to say.

  Just Saw StarWars Episode II

  it is not religious persecution for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false, thus allowing persons to see the difference between false religion and true religion.

  This is what I thought to Episode 2 after seeing it numerous times.

  A little too cheesy. The opening scene looked so fake. It wasnt exactly realistic - also you could tell the droid obi-wan was hanging off was on string by the way it moved. The way obi-wan caught the lightsabre was so cheesy. Maybe I am too picky but its Star Wars and has a lot to live up to.

  C3PO ruined the whole battle scene, he was good in the original trilogy but he is such a dick in AOTC. R2D2 gives him what he deserves, that was funny. However the cheesy remarks were NOT, especially in the battle scene on Geonosis.

  Yoda was THE star of the film, all CGI and all class. His skills with a lightsabre are amazing.

  Natalie Portman, as beautiful as she may be, could have at least tried to act in the film. Jake Lloyd (little Anakin) acted better in Phantom Menace. She managed to be convincing in a few scenes (the love scenes) but the rest she seemed like her heart wasnt in it. Maybe in SW3 they might do a CGI Padme?

  The storyline was excellent, and more than made up for what the Phantom Menace lacked. Providing vital links between SW1 and the first trilogy, and also providing us with much to speculate on what episode 3 will contain.

  The entire film as a whole was very good. It is a true Star Wars film in almost all ways and easily stands up to the originals. I rate it more than I rate Return of the Jedi. It just has a few annoying letdowns, but I doubt nothing can compare to A New Hope. That was a perfect film.

  Now I gotta wait years for episode 3 and its gonna be such a long wait.

  how badly has the jw experience affected you?.

  at the moment i'm very angery at the organisation.. why?.

  anger is pointless.

  Fear leads to anger, the fear the Watchtower drummed into you, controlled you with leads to anger on your part. This anger then consumes you and leads to hatred, which in turn leads to suffering - either your suffering, others suffering, or both. Hence you are on the path to the dark side.

  Well, the force isnt real, but it does speak truth in that fear, anger and hatred are things to be avoided and ultimately lead to suffering and pain.

  The Watchtower WANT you to be angry, WANT you to be spiritually dead, they have no regard for life else they would not be what they are now. Do you really want to continue feeding the Watchtower by bearing their fruits?

  The ultimate way to beat the Watchtower totally is to forgive them unconditionally, do not continue to bear their rotten fruits. The sooner people realise that this is the only way, the better. However in practice this is extremely difficult as the damage they do to people is immense, but it can at least be attempted.

  a question for all to consider is: if pakistan and india go nuclear, as seems to becoming more likely by the day, how long will civilization be able to stay intact without completely unraveling, and during that interval will ridiculers be able to maintain the delusion that nothing out of the ordinary is happening in the world?

  if it was going to happen, it would happen with maximum coverups and no warning, like the WTC.

  I see you would rather listen to the world than the one who you claim is your master YK. Well, where will your worldly sources of "nutrition" be if what you wish upon the world and its innocent happens?

  Rather than continually proclaiming judgement, should you not be forgiving and praying that others will come to see the errors of their ways? Did you realise that so much pain and suffering could be avoided if people actually did turn from the bad they are plotting, and turn to JAH. Remember Ninevah.

  I still want to know where Christ taught conditional love, and to hate your enemies, to mock and riducule those who do the same to you, etc etc.
