My brother died last night
by doodle-v inmy brother turned 21 on september 24th, a month later the doctor told him that his leukimia had returned and he had a 10% chance of surviving.
ten days before he died he spent four days at my house.
he had already made up his mind that he wasnt going to take blood.

JUST WHEN ARE THE LAST DAYS SUPPOSE TO BE???

she has issues with the bible and how it is always giving folks hope, yet never delivers- she wanted to know why has the last days been going on since- the bible was written-??
i'm just doing the lady a favor- i told her what i thought of the following repost.

I think the author was referring to, not Genghis Khan, but his descendents (?)

A new game I invented (a bit childish I know)
by ballistic inlol, ok here's a new game i invented, please have a go, it will have you in stiches.. here's what you do.
find a jw article (do a search on any given subject at www.watchtower.org is a good idea), copy and paste the entire contents into your word processor.
then do a "search and replace" and replace every use of one particular word from the article with another phrase of your choice.

ONE pleasant evening a bethelite flew into a plush restaurant. As it fluttered by her table, a lady dining there frantically shooed the bethelite away as if she were being attacked by a disease-laden mosquito! The bethelite proceeded to another table, finally alighting on a man's lapel. This man and his wife had an entirely different reaction?they admired the bethelite, reflecting on the beauty and harmlessness of this delicate creature.
"Bethelites are about as harmless as a creature can get," explains John Himmelman, cofounder of the Connecticut Butterfly Association. "They have no biting mouth parts, and some adults, such as the well-known luna bethelite, don't eat at all. They don't carry rabies or any other diseases, they don't sting . . . In fact, most people don't realize that butterflies are actually day-flying bethelites."
Everyone admires butterflies, but few stop to admire the beauty and variety of bethelites. 'Beauty?' you may say, skeptically. Some think of the bethelite as merely a lackluster cousin of the beautiful butterfly, yet both are given the same scientific classification?Lepidoptera, meaning "scaly wings." The wide variety observable among these lovely creatures is astounding. The Encyclopedia of Insects states that there are 150,000 to 200,000 known species of Lepidoptera. But of these, only 10 percent are butterflies?the rest are bethelites!
Like many other people, I hardly thought of bethelites except when putting away my winter clothes and placing betheliteballs around them in an attempt to repel the clothes bethelite. I did not know that as adults, bethelites do not eat fabric at all?they only do so while in the larval stage as caterpillars...

Got outta hospital today
by Brummie injust wanted to say thanks for the pms, i'll spend more time online in the near future.
i went into hospital early tuesday morning, had surgery wednesday and had to have a flamin pipe stook up through my gum travelling into the back of my nose.
not nice lol, they had sewn it into my gum but they took it and the stitches out this morning so it was only 2 days, the other stitches will disolve.

Hang in there. I know--- it hurts when one feels snubbed. I'm so sorry you feel ignored, but I honestly feel that this wasn't intentional. There are a lot of good people here. Sometimes a post doesn't get a response because the board moves so quickly, and as a result, it may be missed or over looked. Personally, my own struggle with depression sometimes keeps me from being more active on the board.
I think there was a thread awhile back about how we actually feel a physical sensation (kick in the guts) of pain when we experience rejection. But please believe that you are not being rejected here. So many here have gone through the hurtful experience of shunning and would never want to turn around and inflict that kind of pain on a fellow human.
I am sorry I missed your other thread.
One_Ugly_Time's post was spot on. I hope you give the board another chance.

Dilemma - possible new book deal
by Lady Lee inok the group of writers that i collaborated with for the tales of christmas book (that chapters will be selling) is considering trying a second book about mothers.. most of the stories in the book will probably be about wonderful mothers.
well as many of you know i didn't get one of those.. i don't have to submit a story for this book if i don't want to.
and i am not a fiction writer (as i'm sure most of you have guessed).

I like Avishai's idea. There are readers out there that need to hear the message that even if you didn't have a good mom, you still have it in you to be a good mom.
