  APOSTACY IS WORKING

  two weeks ago all sunday meetings were cancelled in the shirley area here on longisland ny.

  a elder meeting was held with the co. my aunt a jdub has informed me that all 4 congregations have had over 7 disfellowshippings in the past month and about 2 dozen since the beginning of the year.

  it seems that many of the youth are having sex and allowed to do what ever they want.

  Add'l a well know elder was disfellowshipped for apostacey. Almost his entire bookstudy has stopped going to meetings,

  nilfun, who would have LOVED to be a fly on the wall at THAT "bookstudy"!

  LOCAL NEEDS: Let's Auxiliary Pioneer

  we were helped to appreciate the wonderful blessings from auxiliary pioneering.we may not be able to get to visit the householders, especially when it's pouring rain or snowing, but at least we can warm up in the car and enjoy upbuilding association in the car with the heater on.........that's it in a nutshell.

  A Teenager Tomorrow - The Pain Still Lingers

  my daughter would be turning 13 tomorrow, if she were still alive.

  it's been nearly 5 years since her death, and yet the pain and the sense of incalculable loss is still there.

  her birthday is one of the hardest times of the year - one where the hurt really manifests itself - we should have been having a big party, but all we have to remember her by is a hard cold lump of stone with her name on it.

  Is it weakness to walk away?

  does there come a point in a nasty argument when an intelligent person realizes there is no good to be acomplished, only hurt?

  does it show weakness or strength to stop a ping-pong-ball of insult trading?.

  is there ever a time when walking away and letting your opponent have the last word is really the winning position?.

  No. No need to swing at every ball lobbed your way. Especially when insults are all that are being served. Best to just let the ball drop.
