  CA this weekend...if you have already gone....can you give me a summary?

  okie dokie..... ca is this weekend..... i finally managed to get someone to send me a mp3 of the program...... but before i embark on listening to them and mocking up notes..... .

  anyone out there kind enough post a summary ?.

  Young teenager pioneer and fornicator too!

  how in the world she pioneered for one year and commits fornication anyway while she was a regular pioneer?

  it mindboggles me sometimes.

  she is now an elder's wife.

  It was my experience that the more the JW was involved the less closely examined they became :) There were two people, a married 38 year old full time pioneer and her 18 year old pioneer in training houseguest who were screwing on a regular basis right under the noses of her husband and his grandfather who were both elders. They pioneered all summer and she was using my mother in law's study as a ruse to get out to see this kid. She would spend half an hour with my mother in law, her best friend, and then leave and go to a hotel with this kid. They went to PIONEER SCHOOL together even! And less than a month later were caught in a hotel and both of them DFd. But no one but the rest of us pioneering that summer, noticed how "close" they were all that time. We even warned her that people were talking but she felt she was above reproach and was stunned we would make such an ugly accusation. HA!

  My best JW friend who was also a full time pioneer, was having marital problems and sought the council of a married elder and ended up in BED with him! They were both severely "punished" but short of DFing...forced to never see each other again. He got divorced, she was shunned from within as a Jezibel.

  So yeah...its a great way to hide!

  What a mess here in Florida!

  where i live we have received 10 inches of rain within the last 24 hours..... another 12 to 17 hours of the same are expected!, some areas have gotten close to 30 inches.

  its crazy...my pool is over flowing, pets won't go out....we're drowning!

  i can't believe we haven't lost power yet!.

  God Burn that was heartless of you :( Have you ever been trapped in your own house with no potable water? Cant use the toilets because the water is flooding the septic? Cant get out of the neighborhood unless someone comes in a boat? Well I HAVE, I live in S. Florida near West Palm and it's frightening. On top of that the 3 hurricanes we had had weakened and then totally removed the shingles and paper off our roof, (and knocked down several huge trees into cars, fences and roofs), so the water was pouring down the INSIDE of the walls of the house. So please dont make fun of someone in this position. There is nothing anybody can do when a storm comes and plants itself like Fay has, churning up storm after storm and flooding everything.

  Fay passed us and we dodged the bullet. We are thinking of you up there!

  with the wts blatantly 'stealing' the lds practice of family worship (home) evening (see previous thread), i foresee them going even further.

  think about it, asides from 3rd world countries, there's little growth happening from the door knocking.

  As for the Mormons...my brother has been a Mormon, at least on paper, since 1991 or so because that is the religion his new wife "wanted" for them and their future family. (She was pregnant when they got married so that was not an auspicious beginning but....) the mormons are really good at involving each age group with their own level of religious training and activities. I mean most churches DO have youth activities and summer bible school and sunday school which only make SENSE. Jesus did not gather the little children to himself and start discussing the wheel within the wheel type deep involved theology. Isnt religion for the purpose of bringing people closer to God? Helping them to feel His presence? Understand what unconditional love it? How to treat their fellow man? The JWs missed the mark on ALL those counts.

  However...back to my brothers religion...when his wife was dying of cancer last year, as she lay on her death bed, we were at his home and a huge group of Mormon kids, teens, came over ....like 20 of em...and loving dug a hole and planted this beautiful purple flowering tree that they had chosen because they knew she loved purple and loved gardening. It was a tribute to her. And I took many pictures of their doing this for him to see in the years to come because he couldnt bear to be out there with them while they were doing it. They were happy, well adjusted kids who all knew each other and were behaving on a kid's level expressing their love. I was blown away.

  That would SO never happen in JW land.

  Bible study with PO/sister and wife, did not go well......

  last night....did not go well at all, at least in my opinion.

  i feel that the sister from her conversations with my wife started on a quite defensive mode....did my best to stay level headed, but i know there were times i was frustrated, and it showed.. .

  the husband and wife were about 40 minutes late, due to traffic, and they were not prepared to discuss michael/jesus, and with respect to the doctrine change, he merely provided me a 1995 and 1997 wt article, when he and i spoke on the phone, he said he was going to show me in the bible, he sort of danced around this a lot, but not to my satisfaction.. .

  Changing their "light", tacking, current understanding...whatever excuse they use for changing their dogma dujour...its all just them speculating and saying God himself is telling them these things. Well why would an omniscient God change something, change it BACK to a previous understanding, then change it AGAIN? and again and again...like in the case of the Generation, or the fate of Soddom and Gomorrah or what happens to victims of rape who dont scream? They cant say they never said anything about 1975 being the end and then be shown irrefutable evidence that they DID mislead millions of people to their detriment.

  If Jehovah CHOSE them in 1919 and at that time the organization was supposed to be doing all that God wanted his earthly organization to be doing versus the rest of the cults down here...why would he choose an organization that celebrated Christmas and birthdays and supported Hitler which were ALL the case in 1919?? And then God decided later those things were wrong?

  The problem with current JWs is the majority of them have no idea what the actual history is of the organization only what they have been FED through a TUBE from the Borg in the Borgs own literature.

  This study doesnt bode well for you my friend. I fear for you. She is gullible and vulnerable. STick to how they have HURT people. And their hypocrisy.

  so my wife out of the blue says .

  "i thought when we went under ban, everyone would still meet in peoples houses at the the book groups.

  now they are doing away with that arrangement, what does it all mean.?

  Wow...every little inroad is hope! If she is examining things then there is indeed a chink in the armor.

  Ive been thinking that there are so few men in this borg now that they dont have enough to spread around any more to oversee the numerous book studies. Also I believe they are eliminating the free wagging tongues and lack of thought control that occurs in book studies. They can watch and monitor and control the sheep better when they are not hither and thither and dont need as many elders and MSs to control them if they are all in one building. Im sure they will say that they believe the ark doors are closing and its easier to have everybody in one place when that happens in case it happens on a bookstudy evening LOL!

  This whole thing never had anything to do with gas...and besides the decision to do this was made a LONG time before they decided to announce it...you know it was...and the gas prices werent that bad then, so it never was the gas. But just like saying they joined the United Nations to use the library card...the R&F mostly will buy anything they say. But the good news is that people like stills wife are starting to put 2&2 together and they arent adding up to 5 like the Society said they did.

  last night i was sitting in the service meeting listening to a brother read the announcements.

  one main part of the announcements was to read part of the km that had to do with the upcoming two day circuit assembly (ours is next month ... even though we just had the district convention last month ... geez).

  the km article talked about how the circuit assembly would warn us against satan's new tools--the internet, education, and entertainment.

  Wouldnt you just love to know how many in there were thinking the same as you? I bet a fair number of them were a bit jealous of that guy. He is FREE of that insane mental bondage! No more boring meetings! Assemblies! Field service! yep...they want it too but are stuck like you are.

  my wife and i now are organising seperation....she wants me to buy the house directly across the street from her!!??

  the house is nice...polished floor boards etc.

  i think she wants me there for security as she is afraid to be alone.

  In this country when you file for divorce your expenses and indebtedness from that point forward are separated. So keep track of what she owes you. I wouldnt move close to her...that would be very painful and if she thinks she is being watched NOW what will she think when you are across the street from her? Wont she think you are spying on her all the time? Of course she will. And you will be asked to do maintenance on her home all the time as well.

  Clean break. New start.

  Junction just because you think people are talking about you behind your back...doesnt mean they arent. LOL

  Seriously though...I found out it is OK to kick people out of your life who are like dementors and suck the JOY out of you whenever they are around. I found out I am NOT obliged even if they are relatives, to keep em around. Very freeing!

  a relative of mine is storing a cos car at his house (not the wts provided car but the cos own car) .he would not give details but long stor y short - he was expecting to come off the circuit.

  refused to give more details.

  it appears the rumors about the demise of cos has some substance

  The Society seems to always make changes on the calender...so if they are changing the bookstudy arrangement next jan, then perhaps the CO change will be following the same kind of change. They like those nice neat packages. They just sent a shitload of people home from Bethel with no where to go...why would they hesitate to put all thos COs out of business with no where to go as well?
