I think those people who lived through the black plague, the world wars, the dark ages, the crusades, the years of blood letting and surgery with no anesthesia...would definitely tell us to quit whining about "how bad things are" now. If all you look for are the BAD things in the news and the world...thats all you will find. Thats why I LEFT the JWs...the horror mongers that they are...constantly crying from the rooftops and corners about how freaking BAD the world is and how the world is HEADED for doom, gloom destruction mahem...sheeeeeesh. You have the power to CHOOSE how you see the world, have empty or half FULL. This is IS baby...aint no dress rehearsal. Live the life God gave you.

...and why do people adopt children? Because the WANT CHILDREN. So you can even ascribe selfish motives to those who want to adopt according to your views. Perhaps God was instilling selfishness in us when he said to go and populate the earth? Would God instill in us to want to do something that was bad from the get go? I think perhaps you are projecting your own bad experiences on the subject. And I know its hards NOT to do that.

i was 90%, sure because of the symptoms, i had a miscarriage.

I too, had a Depo shot right after I stopped nursing my littlest to keep from getting pregnant. When it wore off, I started to bleed and didnt STOP for 6 weeks straight until they finally had to regulate it with another milder type of BC. Scary scary scary! If you ever have ANY incling that your body isnt working right...LISTEN TO IT...and get second and third opinions and DEMAND testing. The doctors are HMO PPO intensive and wont order tests they feel are "unneccesary" change doctors until you find one who will listen to you!
Mary...glad you are feeling better after your hysto...that was the worst four days of my life in the hospital after my total in June this year. Feel good now tho...glad I dont have to think about uterine or cervical or ovarian cancer now. At 48...I dont miss those damn periods but the hot flashes are killing me

What are You all Doing Here?
by TisInYourWishbone ina friend of mine recommended i peruse this forum because he is of the impression i would find it rewarding.
the basis of his recommendation was due to a very long friendship and not due to any association (that i do not have) with jehovahs witnesses.
he considers me his superior in intellect and wants an appraisal of this sight but to be honest i have neither the incliniation nor the time to get in deep enough to comment.

Why would any "friend" tell somebody else who says he doesnt have any involvement with JWs to go check out a JW based site? That makes NO sense. And if said friend is of "inferior intellect" to this guy, then he's obviously a lump of PlayDo. While you are out doing menial tasks for somebody else, Tisin, would you mind terribly going to Martha Stewart's website and bringing back to us some of her stock tips, since you are just an errand boy?

i've always purposely avoided anti-witness or ex-witness opinion before but i'm tired and am looking for an end to it all.
like it says, i am very much in love with a witness, and she is very much in love with me.

No matter how you try to emotionally manipulate this relationship based on "love" my friend...you are in for a rocky rough and horrible ride if all you both do is try to convert the other. If you dont become a JW and you get married (which would have to be by a justice of the peace and not in a church or Kingdom Hall, and to which most of her friends and relatives probably WOULDNT come) she will be constantly leaving you and spending time with them. Its not just the 5 hours a week they actually SIT at the hall, its half hour of prep plus driving time before and after those meetings and then field service and other "get togethers" which exclude non believers. I have to tell you now, this will fester in you until you want to explode. She wants her cake and to eat it too and frankly, you are probably just a play thing to her because she cant "play" with witness guys and she knows you wont go running off to tell the elders about anything she is doing that she isnt supposed to be. There will be constant pressure for you to become one of THEM to make HER life easier. Prepare to never celebrate Christs birth again, nor easter, nor any other holiday, nor birthdays nor involvement in sports or dances or ANYTHING for your potential children. There will be a battle constantly for the kids to become witnesses and their mom's relatives will be telling them that Daddy will be killed at armageddon if he doesnt become a JW. And those same JWs will not hesitate to tell your kids that they will die TOO if they dont become JWs. There is no such thing as tact. And they believe they can speak right over you and anybody else who isnt a JW because they are the superior, the chose, the ONLY in Gods eyes.
Go back in this discussion group and search for other stories like yours and really READ the advice there...we wont blow smoke up your butt...this is serious stuff.
