we now have all the science and tech in the world yet we still can not construct anything like the ancient pyramids.
Neither of those things is true.
ive asked a few jws and other believers why god never gave technology to his people but no one has been able to answer this.
why are his people copying the pagans.
their writing system without vowels means they couldnt even write his holy name down accurately.

I gave you a start, now follow my example
What start? What example?
a lion is a lion, a bear is a bear.
a fox is a fox, a deer is a deer.
that is what they are, and they behave as what they are.
So then, the atheist who is not satisfying, or at least trying to satisfy every fleshly and/or animalistic desire that comes up into the heart, does not really believe there is no God, for the flesh is calling 24 hours a day for indulgence.
That sentence doesn't make sense. Are you saying that unless someone is completely indulging every desire they have then they MUST beleive in God? Maybe 1) they aren't awake 24 hours per day and/or 2) they don't want to be Fatty McFatterson like chicken fried donut eating southern baptists.
Plus, as an atheist, I ate a salad, some Thai food and a yogurt, went on a walk and 2 bike rides. I also made the comment that God could go f*ck himself and I had relations with a woman to whom I am not married.
It was a good day. YMMV.
i was thinking about all the accounts in the bible that indicate god kills children as a punishment or teaching experience.
1. kills all of egypts firstborn sons, who were innocent kids who did nothing to him or his people, who had no control over the decisions pharoah made.
how many times have you read that account or thought about it without realizing the devastating pain dealt to all those parents, and remembered those were innocent kids?.
Gentlemen (and ladies?), it is so much more simple than you are making it out to be.
It is. What you are saying is bunk. Pretty simple.
Want to know God? Look at Christ.
Jesus: "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets"
The Law: "When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property."
Jesus' opinion on slavery?
He does not tell anyone anything that is not from love, or truth. He certainly does not tell anyone to kill another person.
"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."

I don't know why God asked that the livestock be killed too but He did want all traces of groups removed and all traces would mean livestock.
The he failed. He forgot pets. And we know about a lot of these people from archeology. Plenty of traces were left behind.
I wonder if any of you would stand up and DO something proactive to stave off foreseeable horrors or would you "tolerate" it?
Do you think we should kill children of Nazi's and KKK members? If not, why are you not up to God's standards? Children of divorce or drug abusers? All groups more likely to have issues and do something naughty.
Do you advocate killing them?

if you think that God was being "unfair" then I'll suggest a video that I've been told about on youtube, it shows a bishop who was beheaded by Syrian rebels
Wait, so because some people in a particular nation commit atrocities, God kills ALL of the people, including children and babies that have idea what is happening? Including cutting open pregnant women and ripping out the fetuses?
You, your god, the Israelites, the people cutting off heads are all sick in the head. The casual justification of your own bloodlust with "but they do it too" is disgusting and sickening.
This is exactly why my kids are learning to mock religion and god.
ok. this is something i've wondered about.. people of certain religions tend to use their own holy book as evidence for things in itself.
this seems very circular to me.
using the book to prove the book in my view is pointless.. i am not aware of any of the 'miracles' of the bible or the quran as having any substantial evidence outside of themselves to give credibility to the books themselves.. has anyone come across such evidence?.
You have changed what you said... moved the goalposts. I have never said that I accept everything that is written in the bible. I have never said that the bible is inspired or inerrant... just the opposite.
I never claimed you did. You make this statement in error.
You said that I deny things that Christ said... if I do not like them.
So still no example of that.
Christ said slavery and beating slaves to death was OK. You support that?
I would have thought that with all the conversations and debates and arguments that we have had over the past few years, that you would understand something about my faith, even if you do not agree with it. But you are showing that you do not.
I do understand it. It's an idea of an ideal you have and in pursuit of validating the voice you call Jesus, you will use and discard the Bible, Jesus, science, hijack the meaning of words, make unprovable claims, tell others when they are hearing the voice of Christ, etc. It's a slippery faith that says nothing unique or interesting that's impossible to grab onto and figure out from the outside because it writhes and changes shape every time you try to get a solid answer on what it says. Trying to grab hold of your faith is like trying to hold an eel with your hands covered in oil.

And God is love.
God apparently loved killing the shit out of everything. Good thing Tec is here to tell is when killing is cool and whatevers, at least according to the Jesus in her head that tells her what parts of Bible to hump and what evs.
is there only a 50 / 50 chance that there is a ceator or.
assuming that there is one, and looking at it all,- it is hard to imagine that there is not,.
particularly if you tried all your life to make stuff work.
(and lol, you do not have any kind of authority to suspend me of anything)
LOL, you defend abolishing your own children to the wilderness for having the wrong mother! You deprive yourself of any respect you may once have had.

Correct, and it is not all inspired of God.
Hump that Bible, Tammy. Tell us why is was totes cool Abraham abolished his own child and his slave mistress. Hump it and then deny it when it's time to tell us why it was cool to beat slaves!
