That sentence doesn't make sense. Are you saying that unless someone is completely indulging every desire they have then they MUST beleive in God? Maybe 1) they aren't awake 24 hours per day and/or 2) they don't want to be Fatty McFatterson like chicken fried donut eating southern baptists.
Plus, as an atheist, I ate a salad, some Thai food and a yogurt, went on a walk and 2 bike rides. I also made the comment that God could go f*ck himself and I had relations with a woman to whom I am not married.

He does not tell anyone anything that is not from love, or truth. He certainly does not tell anyone to kill another person.

I don't know why God asked that the livestock be killed too but He did want all traces of groups removed and all traces would mean livestock.
The he failed. He forgot pets. And we know about a lot of these people from archeology. Plenty of traces were left behind.
I wonder if any of you would stand up and DO something proactive to stave off foreseeable horrors or would you "tolerate" it?
Do you think we should kill children of Nazi's and KKK members? If not, why are you not up to God's standards? Children of divorce or drug abusers? All groups more likely to have issues and do something naughty.

Wait, so because some people in a particular nation commit atrocities, God kills ALL of the people, including children and babies that have idea what is happening? Including cutting open pregnant women and ripping out the fetuses?
You, your god, the Israelites, the people cutting off heads are all sick in the head. The casual justification of your own bloodlust with "but they do it too" is disgusting and sickening.
This is exactly why my kids are learning to mock religion and god.

What evidence is there for the miracles of the Bible OUTSIDE of the Bible?
by punkofnice inok. this is something i've wondered about.. people of certain religions tend to use their own holy book as evidence for things in itself.
this seems very circular to me.
using the book to prove the book in my view is pointless.. i am not aware of any of the 'miracles' of the bible or the quran as having any substantial evidence outside of themselves to give credibility to the books themselves.. has anyone come across such evidence?.

You said that I deny things that Christ said... if I do not like them.

Christ said slavery and beating slaves to death was OK. You support that?
I would have thought that with all the conversations and debates and arguments that we have had over the past few years, that you would understand something about my faith, even if you do not agree with it. But you are showing that you do not.
I do understand it. It's an idea of an ideal you have and in pursuit of validating the voice you call Jesus, you will use and discard the Bible, Jesus, science, hijack the meaning of words, make unprovable claims, tell others when they are hearing the voice of Christ, etc. It's a slippery faith that says nothing unique or interesting that's impossible to grab onto and figure out from the outside because it writhes and changes shape every time you try to get a solid answer on what it says. Trying to grab hold of your faith is like trying to hold an eel with your hands covered in oil.
