  Visit from JW today

  a jw knocked on my door this morning and she was with her young teenage son, who was dressed in tie, suit and shiny leather shoes.

  she has been in the religion for 18 years.

  we had a looong conversation and discussed many issues (briefly).

  IMHO . . . something your JW believes mistakenly (in JW World) . . . that Christ is HER mediator . . . is her "weak spot"

  In my experience, most JW's find it easy to explain away the UN thing and say . . . "well we're not associated anymore"

  i admit it----i plan on getting up at 4:00 freaking am to watch it.

  i remember getting up around that time 30 years ago .

  anyone else plan on watching it?.

  Kingdom Hall Funeral for a suicide, non baptised JW bible study?

  i recieved the news today that an aquantance who was studying and attending meetings committed suicide today.

  he leaves behind a terminaly ill wife and teenage children.. my best mate (non jw) who employs this man from time to time and was very fond of him is in total shock.. he would like to know what possible funeral he may have and if he himself would be welcome to attend as a non jw.. i have passed on the gist of what i found in the cd lib but would like to know any real world situations and how they have been handled by local jw's.. oz.
