Yes I am a Christian. I occasionally attend a Non-Denominational Christian church. I like the pastor and most of what he has to say. I don't think any one group has everything all right. Im ok with someone disagreeing with me and what I think the bible teaches. There are so many different thoughts who is right? I think it is most important to accept Jesus as your savior and after that all other beliefs that separate Christians are really trivial. When he comes I don't think first on his list is what Church did you belong to. I don't think he even cares if you go to church. He just wants you to believe in him and live your life accordingly.

by John Doe ini'm curious how many here were witnesses.
for those that were, what are your current religeous affiliations?
i'm still evolving, but currently i consider myself to be a cross between an agnostic and a deist.

Why does God let bad things happen. I heard the answer to this at church a few months ago. It has to be the most logical answer I've ever heard. It all boils down to free will. He gives us free will and the right to choose good or bad as demented as bad may be. He didn't set limits and he didn't say you have free will as long as you don't hurt anybody because that would truly not be free will. Man or Woman "A" has the right to choose to hurt someone or not hurt someone. The person they hurt if they choose to do the wrong thing will be hurt because "A" chooses to do something mean or bad. If God intervenes and doesn't allow the bad to happen or doesn't allow that person to choose to do the wrong thing. Than where is the free will he promised. Unfortunately we are victims of ourself. God is not to blame for bad things that happen, we humans are, we've chosen poorly and we continue to choose poorly. Impacting other people lives and hurting, sometimes killing others. He promises to make it right some day. We need to have faith that some how, he will reconcile all this. I honestly don't know how he will make all things right, but then I am not God.

If your mate, had an affair, what would you do ??? really, think it out ...
by run dont walk in.
toughest question anyone can ask, if the love of your life, and mate/wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend messed around on you, whether it be once or for years, how would you handle it and what would you do, think about it slowly and carefully.. wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.. it's said that 50 % of marriages are affected by an affair, it's probaly alot higher.. did you notice any affairs in your congregation ???.
i look back now, and think, oh yeah there was.

I've been married for 21 years. If my husband cheated on me, I'm pretty sure it would be over. I couldn't trust him anymore. I know I would have an extremely hard time forgiving him. So I'm sure I would call it quits. If he is cheating on me, he really doesn't want to me married to me anyway. If I cheated on him I would expect the same treatment.

Very pretty Blue!! I remember them, though I haven't seen them in over 18 years. She died, and you know I still miss her terribly.

This was the thing that got me questioning everything. I was doing research on 1914 for a talk and thought I'd be studious and look up stuff on 607 BCE on the internet and everything just fell apart from there. It gave me the courage to look at sites like this and then I ordered Ray Franz's book and when I read that it was definitely all over.

One Lord (Jesus Christ), One Faith (Belief in Jesus Christ), One Baptism (Declaration of your Faith in Jesus Christ Religion is a Snare and a Racket!! (I've heard that somewhere before) Religion is a vehicle for man to make money. You have to have faith in Jesus Christ to be saved it's that simple. The bible doesn't say the word Religion does it.

I would never go back. The thought of going to a meeting makes me physically ill. I was talking to person at work about being an XJW and they asked me if I could join up again. I said it's not that easy and I wasn't sure if they would ever let me back in again and that It would take a lot of ass kissing on my part. I was just curious does anyone know an apostate that went back?

I thnk the parents of these kids need their head examined. I remember when he was at the Grammys with that really short black kid and all and thinking it was all a bit strange. I also remember telling my husband that I thought something wasn't quite right with him surrounding himself with kids and no one his own age Men or Women. I would not let my child boy or girl go over a grown man's house to "play" or stay the night. I don't care who he is. All the warning signals should go off. I think he is a nut and circumstancial evidence would definitely convict him. He has a lot of money and unfortunately may get off. Look at OJ...oh that's right he is innocent and looking feverishly for the killer to this day!!!!

607? 587? What does it matter
by IP_SEC inpersonally i believe that 607 is not the right date, but here is another point of view.. does 607 or 587 or 609 or 586 or 1914 really matter?
yes but only after you have a pivotal date.
5 starting from the pivotal date.

THIS IS A HUGE TOPIC! THis is what made me question my faith as a JW. When I realized they were wrong about 607 BCE It was all over for me. Everything falls apart after that. No 607 ....No 1914...No invisible coming...Jesus is yet to come....They are wrong....What else are they wrong about....God has never been wrong....This is not God's chosen org.....it is all over. Your life falls apart for awhile and then you start building up the pieces again.

Not that I ever would. How would you go back? Go to the Elders and say I repent and know I'm was wrong. I want to work towards getting reinstated? Then they would make you go to meetings for 6 months maybe a year with noone saying jack to you and once you've shown that you are sincere they reinstate you. Or is it that once you are an Apostate that is it for you no coming back?
