and no i don't mean the man, the poster animal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

although he is loveable............... i love animals, i have two dogs, a black lab named snoopy and a pug, named pug.

I love cats too. I gave my birds away because they broke my heart. Everytime I would open the shades to the window right next to their cage they starte singing so pretty. I know they wanted to fly and be out with the other birds. I knew if I didnt give them away , I would have set them free. I don't know how they would do,if I did. I just cant stand to see an animal caged.

I have good news for you thou.............. we have a spidermonkey right here in this site. In fact he is from my home state of Louisiana. I think he is toilet trained too. Very gentle and doesnt bite ,,,,i dont think anyway. I think you could let him roam the house and have access to a tv and the fridge and he would be very happy. LOL Should I tell him you are interested in obtaining him, he may make you a good deal on himself.

Spidermonkey if you are reading this,,,,,,,,,,,,, she may pay very well........... something to think about...... LOL

I bought two parakeets but gave them away the other day to the one sister who still speaks to me.

In exchange for the two parakeets, I got two cousin kittens. The grandmother of the kittens was my cat that I gave this sister... I know hard to keep up with huh.

One is black, male named Nemo#3 and flufffy striped female named Sassy.

Tell me about your pets. Or what pets you would have if you could.

I would love to have horses again........... they are the most beautiful creatures to me.

i am an aspiring writer ad the org has always interested me...not in the sense that i'd like to join.

Syn, sometimes it is hard to admit what a shitty family I had. It is embarrassing , but I feel that by talking about it , I can come to terms with it ya know. I have left alot of it behind me, I have a wonderful family and I try to focus on them now. But from time to time, this subject comes up alot especailly in this room, since this is a place for healing and I am so gratefull for that.

I don't speak with my father anymore , even when I was a good elders wife, he pushed me away in favor of his new wife and new daughter. My relationship with him went to pot, 16 yrs ago when my mother committed suicided,,,,,,,, I guess he wanted us all to be gone ,all that reminded him of our lives together. I tried for years to be a good daughter and begged for his love. Since I left the JW a year ago , I have gained the strength needed to let him go, that is what he wants and I can't make him love me or his grandkids. But I have found many more wonderful people that have filled the void that my parents have left. I try to think of the sheer happiness I feel now.

Sharing my childhood crap, is a way for me to vent , which was something I was never allowed to do. It is a freedom, a rebellion if you will agaisnt what JW have taught me all my life.... keep your mouth shut and do what you are told. Those days are over.

Only problem is,,,,,,,,,,,,, I never shut up anymore!!!!!!!!!! LOL ask wild turkey..... I am sure he would say............. oh no ... grab a chair, here she goes, get ready for a long ride. LOL

HAHAHAAH on the toy window washing set.. That is really more sad than funny. I played with barbies with my sister, we mostly used our imagination while playing. We made clubs outside and had horses so it wasnt all extreamly bad. My parents were well off, and we lacked for nothing , in material ways.

And no my parents did not help me, they were a bigger problem than just being JW's . Of course the things they did , they may have done even if not JW, but being JW was a good tool to use , to keep your daughters in line. They could always go back and use it to put fear into to you and make you feel like a piece of crap for defying them, since God said to honor your father and mother. And it made no difference if my parents deserved honor or not. They did because they gave me life. But in all other ways no. Dad was cold, he whipped us unmercifully , to the point it didnt hurt anymore, got kicked with his cowboy boots, slapped, locked in my room. etc. Mom, was a prescription drug addict, neglectful and there in body only not spirit. She forgot to feed us, I guess that is why I learned to cook when I was 5. If Dad got upset with her drug use, she would turn on me , being the oldest and accuse me of things that a child should never hear.

Then we would get dressed to the nines, and head off to the meeting, my wonderful dad speaking of love and family , mom would still be stumbling into the hall, bumping into things with her eyes blurred, speech slurred and stoned as hell.

But no one said a thing. It was the normal way for our family.

When you live in this kind of hell, toys don't make such a big difference. But at least my horses did, thank god, I had them. I always thought they understood me, after all they were locked up too. I guess I just needed to feel that someone even if it was a silly old horse understood. Horses should be free, and so should children, free to be loved and free to express themselves without getting hit or humiliated.

Well , I am not gay,,, as far as I know...........lol, but Prisca is gorgeous. Reminds me of a cross between Sandra Bullock and Gena Gershon.

everthing is playing by ear right now for us.we are not sure about the children either so that is also a factor.

but we do plan on being there either for wednesday or saturday.

One word: Shitty

More words: depressing, isolated, embarrassed, humiliated, confusing, etc.

As a JW kid, you fear all the time, of displeasing your parents, the elders and dying in Armeggedon.

You feel like an abused child locked in their closet for hours or all day,,, well that really did happen to me. But the feeling of being alone and not fitting in was the worst. Standing out of the crowd as a freak because you didnt celebrate Xmas and they thought you hated Jesus. No birthday partys so your friends thought you hated them.

I remember my senior year in high school, I knew what my future was going to be like, working full time in my dad's office. I would have no outlet , no friends , no where but a short walk from my house to the back yard where the office was. I cried all the time, while the other seniors were going off on their senior trip, I was the only one who went home. College was out of the question, I had to be even more under my fathers thumb. I hated it. I actually thought of driving my brand new mustang into the river . Anything would be better than the isolation than I had endured.

So in one more word: MISERABLE

Children chippin

good idea or not?.

microchip children, for safety's sake .

if our pets can be microchipped in case they are lost or stolen, why can't children?# i am not talking about a mandatory law for all children.

I agree with Valis, I think it is a good idea.

I personally know of a family , used to be JW's, and their daughter has been missing for going on 2 yrs now, all they found was her car.

The pain, saddness and lose of their daughter has destroyed their lives. The mother told me she is sure that the daughter is dead, she wouldnt leave without a trace and leave her two small children. I agree , because I know the girl and was around her the time this happened.

I know she was an adult , but stilll her parents have no closure because there is no body to be found. If it were me , god forbid, I would want to find my child no matter what terrible outcome it might be.

Maybe it would make someone who would kidnap a child think twice , since they may get caught so much sooner. I have watched shows that even if a kidnapper intends to kill the child, he may keep them alive for awhile. That would be where the tracking device could save the childs life.
