Did you want to live in paradise?

say you didnt want to be in paradise would that mean you were anointed,because i never liked the idea of living in parklike surrounds,singing birds,waterfalls,etc.

i mean i have grown up in the city and thats were i wanted to stay,so say didnt want to live in paradise what then.i remember someone thinkin that they were anointed because they had this feeling that they werent meant for the earth huh?

Oh yes I still want to live in a paradise forever. To think that I would never see anymore loved ones die, I could watch my children grow up happy, never see them suffer, yes paradise would be perfect. But like Francois said, not with JW's running the show, if there would be a paradise on earth I think God would let the truly meek inherit the earth, and as we know the majority of witnesses are not meek and certainly no better than my baptist , catholic or atheist neighbor. I think if there will be a paradise God will reveal to us his purpose and not leave us so in the dark.I can't blame anyone for thinking there is no God, I am not sure I do anymore, I think that even God would understand that.

I never wanted to go to heaven, but since I dont know what heaven is really like,I might like it better than earth. But I would like to be with my family for eternity no matter where we were. Earth is all I can see, hear and feel, it is real to me,,,, I love nature , I love earth human things. I hope there will be more life for us than just this one...... it is just not enough time to do all I want to do here.

I love that song, I'm moving on,, my favorite verse is:

"But I never dreamed home would end up where I dont belong".

This has been a sad week for me, I have no regrets about my decision to d/a myself, but I am leaving behind a big part of my life. Most of it was miserable, but there are many relationships in our lives , including the one with God or a religion, that will always be with us. I think of the proud moments we had as a family while in the JW, those feelings were not false, maybe the whole thing was based on falsehood, I know it was, but I still smile at some of the things.

Like my oldest son when he was 7 giving his first public talk, and how proud he was, how proud we were, and the tears in the eyes of the old ones when he came off the stage.

Holding an old brothers hand as he laid waiting to pass on, and really believing he was comforted by the resurrection hope.

There were some good brothers and sisters to me when I had no mother to turn to, no father either. For the whole most were not that loving or caring, but there were a handful of good souls that I will miss. It does hurt me to think, that they will think I am lost. I know they are the ones who are deluded , but some of them are so old and I just cant tell them my doubts and true feelings about the WT right now.

No matter how bad home was growing up , in my case, I miss even the few good moments my mother, my dad and my sister had together. For all the bad, I choose to forget what is too painful to remember , and remember the short time we had together. I guess when I pass that kingdom hall on hwy 7 , I will remember when my kids were young, when we were young, and how hard we tried to do the right thing. Maybe staying in as long as we did , served some kind of purpose, for me it probably was security. I am ready to move on ,,,,,, but I guess it will take time for that old building to not be home anymore.

Travis, very well put, I hope you don't mind if I steal a few of your sentences to write letters to the press. LOL

I really feel a great need to have my say in this, I can go public now,, since I will be d/a as of next Thursday. I plan on starting my first letter for my local newpaper, so I better study up on my grammar and sentence structure.

Bill, I love what you said to Kandance, that really drives the point home of their evasiveness when asked a simple question.

Is it just me or does the statement, "No comment", make you think of someone who is hiding something, afraid to say anything that may trap them. Instead by saying ,"No comment", they know the less they say , the better, because no matter what they say,,,,,,,,, the foot is in the mouth.

sickness

i have decided to include you all in every step of my shock pregnancy!

after boasting about not having sickness this time and being so relieved, i woke up this morning and have felt terrible aaaaaaallllllll day.

i need some sympathy here.

Poor kat.......... i have 3 kids myself. When preg with the boys i never had morning sickness, but with my girl, i got my fair share of it. She turned out to be the biggest of them all too, 8lbs 2 oz.

Thanks for sharing about baby, this should be fun. I saw a baby yesterday and realized I havent held a baby in so long. It kind of stirred up some feelings, ya know. My baby is 7 yrs old. I know I am too tired to go thru it all again, but man,,i would be a good aunt to yours. Where do you live again Kat?

Hope to hear more from you, take it easy..............you are really going to need your energy reserves soon. What are the ages of the your other kids?

Elsewhere, I agree. That is why Wild Turkey and I had to leave. We just couldnt go along with the things that are going on, the lies, the cover ups, not to mention biblical doctrines they are wrong about.

In order to be true to my self, I had to leave. I am not sure where this road I am taking will lead me, but I couldnt stay on the JW road. There comes a time when you have to take a stand, even if the outcome may be painful and unsure. But I do feel freedom and at least I am not part of something(JW) that goes against my own conscience. Great scripture...........

the ultimate "back door" expression invented by the watchtower printing corporation is "wait on jehovah" and the purpose of this post is to examine that expression with a microscope.. this expression is always brought out and touted when things are totally screwed-up in watchtowerworld.

Farkel , thanks for this post , it is exacatly right on. Last night I dreamed I was still a teenager living at home, I had a sit down talk with my mom and told her I wanted to live my life, have a social life. She told me that my dad thinks I should WAIT until I am older. I say NO!!!! I am not wasting anymore time, I want to be happy now. The dream ended with my mother understanding how I felt, but my dad was not in the dream. I guess I am still afraid to buck that man even in my dreams.

My point is I too am tired, just tired of waiting ,,, waiting on Jehovah for all of my problems to be solved. Waiting on Jehovah to end the worlds suffereing, there has been too many thousands of years for this to end, is it not time? Yes I agree these words are said to someone when they don't want to talk about a problem anymore, it is their ace in the hole. They pull this one out when all eles fails and they have no answers. I mean what faithful JW will argue against the Almighty taking care of things. It throws the burden of feeling faithless on the JW's back for being impatient and tired.

What makes me sick is the way many some will say that Jehovah took care of a matter, someone was smoking or fornicating and he made it come out into the light. Or someone needed a $100 to get to a convention and he made them get an extra window cleaning account. Funny how God can make these little miracles happen . But he will not make the child molestor be found out before he rapes more children, He will let thousands starve, let buildings fall on them, more rapes and murder, too many injustices to count.

But the JW really think that they are special, and have God's full attention,. He answers only their prayers and saves only their babies. This has been one of the things that made me feel like leaving the JW was the only thing for me. I just couldnt beleive this to be true anymore, and I didnt feel anymore worthy than anyone eles in the world, just because I was a JW.

I for one would like for one day , God to make it all right, to fix what is going on. But I just don't know. I have lost alot of my faith thanks to being a JW. Until the day, that He does do something I will do my best to do what I think needs to be done , in my power, in my lifetime. If there is a God, I am sure he wouldnt want us sitting on our asses waiting on him to do every little thing when we do have the power to change things, especially the GB,they could at least try . They are too busy making brooms up there, so they can sweep the problems under the rug.

Rainbow covenant... a fairy tale?

yesterday evening , after a little rain storm there was the most beautiful rainbow in the sky.

it reminded me of the promise that god gave that the earth would never be destroyed again by flood.

so every times it rains , all over the world , you will usually see a rainbow.

I was thinking ,it seems to me that if God can give a sign as the rainbow, why can't he give a sign about Jesus being our savior? Or some other sign that would remind us that we really do have salvation, not just a promise that the earth will not be flooded again. Seems to me , this would be a better miracle for God to do for us. It wouldnt be any harder for him to do. Actually I can make a rainbow , when I water the yard. So for the record, I personally do not think the rainbow is a miracle or even a scientific wonder provided by God at all. It has a scientific explanation. But why does the Bible say that this is a special message from God? Little things like this make me think that the Bible writers were dreamers and fairy tale writers. I really don't have alot ,if any faith in the Bible anymore.

THINGS YOU WISHED TO DO INSTEAD OF GOING TO A MEET

for many of us, the thought of missing a meeting to do anything else was problematic.

should i go to that concert (to that group that only comes once every few years on a meeting night) or should i give my talk?

should i go to both meetings this sunday or should i go on that company picnic?

I hated having to get 3 kids ready for meetings, couldnt ever find socks, a shoe would be missing, my daughters hair would have knots in it, couldnt find the magazine for sunday study.

We always had to arrange to go out of town so carefully because Denny always had elder things to take care of and he had the bulk of the talks.

Towards the end of being in the borg, I was making less and less meetings, I was so burnt out and sick. I hated if someone would come by the house or call and say ,,, we missed you sunday.... then wait with their faces hanging out , patiently waiting for an explanation. I got to the point of telling them I just didnt feel up to going, and it was personal things , so I wouldnt give them any more info. That really pissed off many,,, they always thought they had a right, to know my personal business.
