  well half of you don't know me but all of you helped in one way or another you'll never understand how much.

  i wish i had more time to get on personal levels with you all but that's not going to happen now.

  i didn't tell my family but, i am kind of worried about the war, something tells me it's not going to be another six day war.

  what about spanking?

  in most of the world spanking (not beating) is considered a valid form of correction up to a point.

  that point being at the time it is possible to reason with the child.

  A little bottom warming party never hurt anyone when administered with love and done out of concern rather than anger!!! Okay........yeah, maybe it did hurt just a little!

  Edited to add: This just reminded me of an old high school coach I had who possessed a large wooden paddle with holes drilled all over the aggressive end of it. When I inquired as to the function of said holes he replied: "Son, that's for the meat to go through!!!" YIKES!!

  Any theories why sudden growth in WTS?

  lately is observed some small growth in wts troops.

  any idea what is causing it?

  i've heard that an age of baptized new members has dropped and 9/11 makes an impact.

  Adults and children with ADD /ADHD

  i have been doing some research on the condition add/adhd and came across a list of names of people who have this condition.

  this runs in my family and only recently have i been diagnosed with this , which was a real eye opener, and if only i had known about this as a child some things would have been more easily understood by my parents.

  i have two children with this condition, and for the time being, have decided agaisnt medication for them.

  Lyin',

  My oldest son was diagnosed as having ADHD at a very young age. He literally bounced off the walls at times and his attention span was minimal even though he was very bright. Rather than turn to medications we did some research and came upon The Feingold Association and started applying the dietary recommendations prescribed by them. The changes in his behavior were nothing short of miraculous!!!

  Hey Gang I am getting my brain scanned tomorrow

  yup thats right iam going to have an mri on my brain...... i have severe numbness on my left side of my face and no feeing in my hands and arm......i have been hurt in 3 car accidents and have two herniated disks in my neck ( oh i pray that they don't have to do surgery......pray for me )))))) i thought i had ms.... a while back because of the numbness but they said no...... well now i get another scan andgo to see a neurologist ,,,, i hope they find out what the problem is so i wont be on

  Apple Pie

  i really, really dislike making apple pie.

  after two or three of those things, my kitchen looks like a warzone, my hands are greasy, my clothes covered in smears of butter and melted sugar.

  How Did Your Adolescence Go?

  i was chatting to an old aquaintance about some of the weid and wonderful conflicts that i had gone through when i left the jw's.

  she works as a therapist of some renown locally, so i was interested in her viewpoint.

  she said that, in her opinion, anyone who's adolescent development was overly restricted by, for example, their religion, would have to clear away the mental stuff that had been held back during this critical time.
