We had Bethelite visitors last night

we had a lovely meal and conversation, but then the conversation turned to rome, which is a city all of us had visited not too long ago.. we spoke about the sights as you normally do, the vatican, st peters bassilica, the sistene chapel, and so on.

but then i mentioned the catacombs.

i am impressed by the sheer size of the catacombs.

after posting on the maximus nourishment for the spirit thread about elaine pagel's "the origin of satan" and "adam, eve, and the serpent," i check my mail and find the watchtower for august 15, and a qfr (whole page) answering the question, "for how long a period of time did job suffer.".

they say "job's suffering and its resolution may have occurred within a few months, perhaps less than a year.

" blah, blah, tribulation momentary and light, blah, blah, christ will himself finish your training.

"Job chapter 1 describes the death of Job's sons and daughters. This is followed by these words: "Afterward it came to be the day when the sons of the true God entered to take their station before Jehovah..."-Job 2:1(NWT)
Another translation renders this as: "On another day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord..."(NIV)
Later, the account in Job relates this:
"And they (three companions) kept sitting with him on the earth seven days and seven nights, and there was no one speaking a word to him, for they saw that the pain was very great" - Job 2:13"

does freedom of thought really obtain in this forum?

are those who have left god's organization and jehovah god himself actually now more open-minded and unbiased?

if those who espouse atheistic thoughts or those who believe every vile utterance spoken against jehovah's people think they are now speaking from some olympian perspective, i beg to differ.

I've been stating the same thing, in different words, the same principle…and some friends at the end of the conversation, "had to admit" that it was ...logical and ...yes TRUE!

your keen altruistic interest , in all who come to read at this site.

The research also show a desire to be clear, precise
and not like some…who frequently misquote from other people's work.

I'm sure that many will appreciate your work,
and this will help some to "see better" in these
important aspect of our life.

I'm personally pleased to see that "understanding"
doctors like Sam Muramoto and Dr. Doyle are
supporting AJWRB and as Hawkaw stated :
" …are class doctors who have one thing in mind -
saving lives and treating people with respect".

New Insights on History of Jesus

last year on h20 much was discussed about whether jesus was a historical person.

it was brought out that no mention of jesus is ever made outside the works of christians (presuming that all christian historians are biased) except for the the writings of roman historian, flavius josephus.

and, even the brief mentioin of jesus in josephus works are challenged by some as being spurious addtions to some manuscripts.
