  Wine Question for the OZZIES

  i was at a party last night and the talk was about the price of this australian wine called wolf blass which was $16.99 canadian.

  now a good wine at our liquor store costs around $10.99 give or take a buck, so my question was is this wine more money in australia as well?

  unfortunatley i didn`t get a chance to taste it either and wanted to know if it is any good?.

  Dog Ridge Shiraz 2000 is a particularly nice drop IMHO. About NZ$15-20 (US$7-10)

  However Ozziepost is our resident wine expert here. I'm just a red-nose.

  thats right.. i am not going to give up on this.. australia will have its apostofest early next year i would love as many for australia and nz to come along.. i will keep pestering until i get yes's all round so you better start telling me yes.. it will be in sydney in february.

  But I need dates ASAP. I travel quite a bit for work and I have to plan my travel schedule for the first quarter of 2003 in early December. So the sooner I know the dates of the apostofest the better.

  my family has decided to shun me.

  last week my brother and my husband got in a heated debate and finally my brother asked him why he doesn't believe in the jw's and he said because there religion is based on a lie.

  well my parents found out and now have decided the best thing to do is shun me.

  This whole thread is full of your impassioned arguments in support of your country's warmongering justified as "saving the world."

  I don't usually participate in this kind of thread because when passions run high, reason files out the window. I do not agree with your stance on this issue. I don't wish to enter into an argument or contribute to this thread turning into a flame war. Therefore I won't be posting anything further on this subject.

  However, a major difference in the US and some other nations is that we have no intentions of using them for our expansion or gain. Ones like Saddam are bent on making the world the way he wishes.

  I have to disagree.

  In this country George bush is seen as little mote than a warmonger. From our point of view America seems to be forcing the whole world into its own mould. And you better watch out if you don't let America do whatever it wants, without question.

  For a good many years now New Zealand has banned American nuclear powered/armed vessels from its ports, a move which is widely supported by the people of this country. However since doing that, America has put New Zealand under some pressure, not great pressure I grant you, but pressure nonetheless. It's a small-scale example of what America does when it doesn't get its own way.

  Interestingly, there are some American people who move here to escape America's attitude. Just the other day I heard a radio announcer asking an American caller what he liked most about New Zealand and he said: No handguns, you don't have to pay for outgoing and incoming phone calls and New Zealand doesn't try to crush every country who has a different point of view.

  Quite telling I thought.

  i'm not sure if i'm posting in the correct section but i had to put this somewhere just to let off some steam.. i have a beautiful little girl, she's just two and a half but she's tall, so she looks more like a four year old.

  we live in a flat and have no access to a garden, the lady who lives underneath us is a nightworker, so we have to try and keep the noise down through the day.

  which means that my poor daughter doesn't get the chance to run off steam.

  Bosho,

  It does not matter how you child behaves, by taking her along to the Kingdom Hall you are ruining her life. No matter if she is noisy or quiet the dub propaganda will eventually rot her mind and she will become a braindead, thought-controlled drone.

  The best thing you can do, for yourself and your daughter, is never step inside the doors of a Jehovah's Witness propaganda hall again.

  for me: 1. the day i cant take care of my bodily functions and am paralyzed from the neck down or 2. when i am 100years old.

  An extremely modest man was in the hospital for a series of tests, which had left his bodily systems extremely upset. Upon making
  several false alarm trips to the bathroom, he decided the latest episode was another and stayed put.

  He suddenly filled his bed with diarrhea and was embarrassed beyond his ability to remain rational. In a complete loss of composure he jumped out of bed, gathered up the bed sheets, and threw them out the hospital window.

  A drunk was walking by the hospital when the sheets landed on him. He started yelling, cursing, and swinging his arms violently trying to get the unknown things off, and ended up with the soiled sheets in a tangled pile at his feet.

  As the drunk stood there staring down at the sheets, a hospital security guard who watched the whole incident walked up and asked,

  "What the heck is going on?"

  The drunk, still staring down, replied:

  "I think I just beat the shit out of a ghost."
