Just found Jehovah or Jehovah found me!!!

just wanted to let everyone know that you all have a new friend!my name is christopher from verona italy,and even after loosing friends.

and my girlfriend of ten years over my studying and putting to practice the bibles values,i realise now that it doesn't matter beacuase i am so happy that i found the truth and jehovah loves me!!

!....i am still going through a changing period but every day is geting better and i will soon be baptized.i always new that there was someting seriously wrong in the world when i was leading a very imoral life,even though i have been succesful in work and have made plenty of money i was never happy but did'nt know what it was until i met a brother..i hope to find lots of new friends here,so please everyone don't hold back!

I have to agree with outnfree.

The org is not what it seems. It will take you many years to understand what you can get here in a few days.

Does the Bible really say to go from door to door. Please find that for me.

Does the Bible say that birthdays shouldnt be celebrated?

Does the Bible say not to go to college and get a good education?

Does the Bible say that oral sex is a sin?

Does the Bible mention that in the last days there would be one org that acts and moves as the org does? Godlike?

Millions of dollars collected and where is it??.....kingdom halls....nope that is a loan...ask for financial records first....motives and moneies spent somewhere?

Maybe the time difference is part of it? Most seemed to be in the States? What do you do for living if anything, that is my goal, complete utterly nothing retirement?

I am a salesman, and work in a wholesale environment for about thirty five years.

So, I work in my office about once a week and that gives me time to get into this site some?

it is so easy to underestimate the enemy.every day in every part of the world, we are affected by terrorism.especially after 9-11, we were more aware and vigilant of the possible dangers that we might encounter.

now, the newest threat could be snipers.

imagine if suddenly , in every state or country, a sniper slyly attacked the innocent.

I don't think that we couldn't function if that part of human nature didn't exist, the "it isn't going to happen to me", complex human thinking processes protect us so we can get back to normal or routine....

Society just couldn't work, we would at some point in time all become recluse and stay home, don't you think?

At least I hope that it is never accepted as the norm...

I can't understand why people get soooo wrapped up in a cause that they can rationalize that killing someone is n ecessary .

I guess some on this board think that being a witness could possiblily drive some individuals to act in this manner. I was never that faceless, mindless witness that seems to be prevalent in the minds of some that post here?

Minimus, I think it may be here to stay in the US, but I hope that we never become so used to it as to think it is acceptable.

The Yahoo discussion is not an official stand of the witnesses....MONO indicates one....so this is thiesm or belief in a single deity......English is english....nuts to them and the rest of the idiots that regurgitate this holy stuff....

You see that if the Bible were to actually be the inspired word of GOD ....would it not be very clear on things that all of the different issues religions argue about everyday....why not just make a clear consise statement of who is who and what is the truth and where everything and everyone is going to become.....why must it be a question of belief or faith....BS...I can't stomach anymore crap....

There are so many idoits out there in the World...literally not just the witness world....that to try to make a point without being perfectly consise and clear will not can not happen...???

i am a 36 year old father of 2 girls putting himself through night school to get a college degree.

in my current sociology class we have to do a paper in an interview style of a culture, subculture or group that we know nothing about and are interested in.

i decided to find out about jehovah witnesses.

The first responder was correct...this site is mostly x-jw's....

If you want answers to your questions start the bible study and have them come to your house, they will answer all you questions on the first visit. Afterward tell them what you are doing and dismiss them. They will go away slowly?

If they get to be a problem you can ask for an official statement, for none to call on your house, they will put on the territory map that your house is off limits and they will never bother you again except to clear up that you still live there about once a year?

I will try to answer your first question. A Jehovah's Witnesses is an individual that has accepted the teachings of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society and has devoted their entire life to the spreading of this information. They become babtized and attend several meetings each week and study the literature of WTBTS each day, they have goals for the field service, door to door work, that they participate in, approxiamately 8-10 hours a month.

Did I describe it accurately everyone??

why in their right minds would they attack a french oil tanker knowing they were one of the countries on the security counsel who was apposed to war with iraq?

The allies dropped smart bombs from planes above the anti-aircraft capabilites of Iraq. The planes used where not detectable by radar?

Then the ability to defend itself was taken away from a distance with missilles with cameras on them so as to not have any troops exposed to any fire by Iraq?

By the time US troops where on the ground, they only had to round up willing Iraq armies trying to surrender? The enemy troops were saying GOD bless America? The Moslem world understands this kind of action and only this type of aggressive behavoir.

I propose that a statement or resolution be drawn up, simply stating that for each and every person killed by Muslim extremists the Christain world will massacre 10,000 Moslems. I suggest to you that after only a few hundred people would lose their life after this application of force. No mercy and the madness will be stopped!!!

that's supreme arrogance.. but in the last one hundred years, men of the watchtower have stepped forward and proclaimed that they not only clearly understand bible prophecy, but that they themselves clearly are bible prophecy being unfolded.. they are the latter day fulfillment of noah, abraham, moses, elijah, elisha, ruth, esther, naomi, isaiah, jeremiah, ezekiel, nahum, zephaniah, habukkuk, zechariah, john the baptist, the apostle john and the good parts of the revelation.

I think it is informative and is about the best post I have seen to date......

I don't like the idea of walking away from my family for any cause or religion. An to ignore someone because he believes in a different point of view than myself, well I just don't see it!!!

I am not so sure that this is not an invention of religion to steer believers to be totally dedicated to the cause. It seems very convienent to me that religion has these rules that guide us all to be totally blinded by outside influences to pay attention, time, and energy only on serving something greater than ourselves????

Don't misread this, I believe in GOD, just not the tons of biblical materials that seems to rule us all into absolute submission. Why can't you have GOD in your life and work and play and watch football, maybe become an actor and have a career without constant devotion to some relegious cause. Five hours of meetings weekly, eight hours of field service monthly, and countless hours of study encouraged.
