  Thanks for the input.. As usual anything posted is taken the wrong way. The attack insues.

  I am certain that many of you are doing positive things with your life, not the point at all.

  I was making reference to the ones that get into their car and go to a meeting site and hold up signs, this is waste of time for the most part. Much of what you do here is good.

  I enjoy the site so I ask not to be attacked about my posts. I can still post here can't I?

  Yes, I am probably one of the ones that is not doing enough positive with their life, but going some place were I am viewed as a nut case is not my idea of constructive activity.

  The witnesses won't even talk to you there in fear of some action being taken against them, even if they feel the same as you.

  i visited my jw son and daughter - who were raised in the faith - in may.

  my son is 37 years old, intelligent and is a hard worker and a good provider for his family.

  we were having breakfast when my daughter-in-law mentioned the ' lump' on my sons back.

  Your right about the mental issue. I forgot about that?? They are openly against psychiatry.

  But otherwise there publications don't discourage medical treatment do they....have I missed something this large?

  Cow dung mushrooms? Anyone heard of this?

  i played golf with a guy on friday that said a fad in the 80's was a mushroom that only grew in cow dung?.

  was he pulling my leg?

  he said it sent you on a lsd type trip.. i told him i would not put anything in my mouth that came from any dung, maybe use it as a topical solution, but not orally.. breeze

  Herbs and anti-oxidants are good for maintanance but once cancer presents itself conventional medicine is the better route. Some think that if you attack with very heavy anti-oxidants it will cure some cancers, but I would do both. But a Doctors visit is a must!!

  This is not conventional behavior for JW's, maybe a rare fring might stay away for the medical world but the teachings are not set up in that form. Only the blood issue is completly frowned upon, other appraoches and medicine is labeled OK.

  I was associated with the WTBTS for 50+ years.

  Give back sometheng to your community and the world we are in for now. Have some fun, drink sing and live, for there may not be a tomorrow.

  There is no evidence that any of the Bible stories are really true, outside of that we are here and the world exists. Even Jesuses existance is being argued.

  Confused..

  let me start off by telling you a little bit about me.

  i'm 21 years old, my family(all except an uncle who was disfellowshiped) is dedicated to beliefs of the jehovah witness', or the 'truth'.

  The org won't take any responsibility if you stay and marry someone you don't love.

  Either way you need to be on your own.

  Good advice is to become independent and then may life changing plans. When kids come into the picture it is really much more complicated.

  How "old" is the oldest person who lived in your family?

  i was just wondering how old can a person live.

  my grandmother lived up to 97, almost 98. .

  those born in 1914 are 92 years old and some are still alive.. i guess that no one lived over 120 years since the flood.. how "old" is the oldest person who lived in your family?

  I need advice regarding child support

  i know this is a forum about jehovahs witnesses, but with so many intelligent people with varying ideas to solutions on problems, thought i would post my problem here.

  my daughter's father is $35,000 behind on child support.

  i have always tried to be suportive of their relationship and made sure they could see each other on his weekends.

  I understand it is not fair for him not to pay his share or some share. Your situation sounds not all that bad. He is easy to deal with and makes few demands.

  I wouldn't take or deliver the child to him, that makes everything easy for him. At least swap weekends when his turn is due. Make detailed notes and records of his true interest in the child. Without dates and documentation the courts and lawyers are less likely to be successful, your relation ship could turn to the bad side anytime. You can get custody if he continues to neglect the payments. In the US if you have a lawyer they will pick up and jail him for pastdue child support, that will change his attitude also.

  I have a daughter that had an ex that was a total ass, and wouldn't pay support, everytime the law would allow we had him jailed, that became to embarrasing for him so he allowed me to adopt the child. we promised that he could see the child anytime after the adoption, but he was too difficult to deal with so we just ignored him and now he is completely out of our life. If he ever shows up, we will call the police immediately.

  As long as you have an amiable relationship maybe it is best left alone. You do have legal options, just get a lawyer and they will jerk him into line.

  What keeps you from killing yourself?

  every once in a while, the whole "futility of life" thing washes over me and something inside of me mentions the suicide option.

  not that it's ever seriously considered, but one of the low-level accounting-types in my head quietly sends around a "worst-case scenario" memo that everyone reads, then dismisses.. after all, things always perk up.

  "but," reminds the pessimistic little guy that should've been fired years ago, "they always go back down, too.

  I have many down days. The thing is the waiting. knowing I am going to die. The suspense is just almost too much to bear. When in the org I thought the end of my days was not.

  The problem I have is also that I have so much in the near future that will hurt i ncredibly , the death of my parents and the potential loss of kids / grandkids /sibilings. I see people much younger that me die with out any warning.

  I don't want to feel these painful things, and consider taking my own life very often, sometimes more that once a day.

  I live a very good life, financially better than most Americans, and have time for golf and fishing and other things that I love. I travel almost every month to some great place, and spend time doing the things that I love. The suspense is getting to me.

  i have been taking this fruit drink for only a week and my feet are much better.

  i also have more energy?

  i have had pain in my feet for many years.. i have a freind that says this stuff is the greatest and he got me to try it!

  I will post more when I get pricing and more information. I paid $39.95 for two bottles of it the first time around. The bottles were about the same size as a wine bottle. That included a charge for signing up for an account with them.

  I have just finished the first bottle, you take two ounces twice a day.
