Whatever it was, isn't that is what is asked of us when we witness to others? No more, no less.
It couldn't have been about Pauls letters that they preached. They weren't written.
It couldn't have been about Revelation and the end of the times. It wasn't written yet.
Why does anyone think we should be out there "witnessing" about other peoples preaching?
If we are to witness and preach shouldn't it be the same message that the first christians taught?

Counselled on chatting to a study!
by Penn9 inhey all, i'm new to posting, but i've lurked for a while.
quick intro: i'm a 25 yr old guy, brought up a jw, strayed for a while, then got baptized convinced it was the best thing for me, the rest of the world is satanic, etc.
i overcame that ridiculous belief and i know the truth about "the truth" but my friends and family are all deep into the cult so leaving is a huge risk that i'm not willing or ready to take.

My Wife is reading "Learn From a Great Teacher" to my oldest daughter.
by garyneal inin the past, i've tried reasoning with my wife concerning the reading of religious materials to our children but the reasoning is not getting through.
she believes that since my oldest daughter prefers church to the kingdom hall (no surprise) that in order to provide any kind of 'true' religious instruction she must read wt material geared to the kiddies.
in the past, i reasoned that if she insists on reading material to her that will ultimately trash my way of life then i could do the same.

I feel ill from reading this. I lived this story and now my children are grown. 1 agnostic son and 2 witness daughters and now 2 wonderful grandchildren ages 3 & 6 already being "indoctrinated".
I won't tell you that you can't win, I hope you do, but I didn't.
She might agree on some things right now but later you will probably find out she's doing it secretly anyway.
Headship card doesn't work cause it always gets trumped by obey god before man.

Undercover apostates...
by Maze ini've observed some forum users here that claim to be active witnesses (even claims to be ministerial servants or elders) while duplicitously supporting apostates online.
my contention is this; why attend meetings and/or participate in the preaching activity when the second you divulge your apostate thinking into the congregation, you'll be disfellowshipped?
while this action taken may seem to be harsh, the outworking of events wouldn't be much different in one of christendom's churches.

I see a lot of you stay in for family. The WT preaches the importance of family. It's one of their tools to keep you enslaved.
