has mankind condition gotten worse or better since 1914?.

the wt concludes that more people are sufuring more since 1914 because that year would spell trouble that would increase.. a brother giving a public talk a couple of weeks ago said mans life span has not increase any noticible amount even with all the advancement we have made in medicine and so the thought trying to be conveyed was don't trust science.. i know many will eagerly point out the facts.. join the watchtower or you will die.. only jehovah's witnesses have the truth all other religions evil and from the devil.. you must beleive the watchtower or you're going to die a painful death forever, isn't that really good news?.

i have read some of the accounts about facing a judicial committee.

i enjoyed reading amazing's well-written account on what he went through.. as i read this accounts i am leaning how to treat people and how i would react in a similar situation.. i would like to ask those that went through this ordeal: .

when you think back on how things happened, is there anything that you would have liked to do differently?

As I read this accounts I am leaning how to treat people and how I would react in a similar situation.

I would like to ask those that went through this ordeal:

When you think back on how things happened, is there anything that you would have liked to do differently?

Is there anything that the elders could have done to make you feel comfortable to the point of staying inside the organization?

i went w/ my ex to the hall tonight, don't remember much except walking in, hiding in the bathroom for half hour, and dodging all the schmoozing when trying to exit the building.

i also remember my ex holding my hand and smiling at me.

it was a happy smile, like "i am so glad you're here w/ me", but it hinted of evil intentions.

a little to late, and amazing re: annulments.

i apologize to all of you who responded to my 'craving for attention' post for not responding on time.

i was to sick and it's kind of late now to give all the responses.. you certainly gave me the courage to even post again and i already know it's ok if i don't get responses, i'm healed, (you help).. i started to compose a line to each of you, but just know that i love you and i appreciate what you did to me: get confident on the forum and post and practice.. to amazing, willy_think responded to your questions about the annulments and she did a good job.

I'm sorry, if I am to be sincere, I cannot allow myself to fall victim to the half-truths, exagerations, and personal attacks about the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Shunning is the big story

i just read the story about the family in oregon, gone forever, because of the pressure of shunning.. in my opinion, shunning is the big story about jehovah's witnesses.

shunning and the fear of shunning is what enables the control of victims of child abuse.

shunning is what destroys families.

That would be nice and dandy, wouldn't it? Here's the problem, you would start spreading poison to the friends. Can't let that happen, sorry. As a baptized Witness, you entered a pact with Jehovah. Why can't the US just let John Walker Lindh go by saying: ``we regret your decision and would hope you reconsider at a future time?''? Because he is a traitor in the eyes of the US government. Apostates are traitors in the eyes of JWs. Therefore, they are disfellowshipped.

Are you disappointed? sorry, that's just the way it is.
