Isn't it amazing that the human race, as a whole, is good? People get wrapped up in their own lives and sometimes forget to look at the world as a whole but all in all, they are kind people. How could a loving God just kill them all?

What they DON'T tell you
by Black Man inhey everybody, i'm in the middle of an ongoing debate w/some jws and they are asserting that everyone knows what they're getting into when they are studying and getting baptized and that nobody forces anyone to become a jw and that you can leave anytime you want.
ok, we know that's not true.
how would you counter that argument?

They don't tell you that their doctrine says that Jesus did NOT die for you, rather he died for the 144,000 elite and you're "saved" by associating with them so you can get through Armaggedon and are STILL not saved for 1000 years after. Not disclosed while studying. Guarenteed.

My brother has deemed it "The Book of Hums." It is a holy hell. Every "melody" is a flat concotion of C-Grade instruments with a "Run, Jane, Run" book added in lyrics.

My grandmother keeps trying to get me to come back to the meetings. I tried using the whole "I really don't like the gossip in the cong." thing. The conversation went like this:
"If you hate your boss and get fired, you don't come home and divorce your wife."
"WHAT?!! What the hell does that have to do with gossip in the congregation?"
"Well, you don't dismiss your God and his loving arrangement because you don't like the others that attend."
"I would divorce my wife if she was running back to my boss and slandering me to the point that I was fired. She obviously isn't a good mate."
"Well, you don't divorce God."

Was the GB scared by pew research on religion? (statistics)

), you have to wonder if the gb has seen them and what they think about them.
it would seem to me examining the statistics that there are far more witnesses on the inside that don't really believe it is the "truth" than many on the inside would assume.

"I think that is a telling number." - I'm sure there are Asian JW's. Perhaps they didn't take the poll or think themselves as Mixed Race. It is in the US and a lot of people are mixed race.

the brother used an example of a young girl who went to university, began going to bars, and ended up getting drugged and gang raped - as if this happens to every young jw who chooses to get higher education.. .

It has always freaked me and my sister out when, at the assemblies, the speaker goes through this engerized, THE-BIG-A-IS-ALMOST-HERE diatribe and everyone breaks out into feverish applause. It was pretty scary to know that 8,000 people were sitting around us, wishing for billions of people's death.

PC - I personally love your videos. When I was digging my heels in, getting ready to bolt, I found your videos online and it did help quite a bit. It validated my concerns and kind of gave me a sense of "I'm not alone in this" even thought the WT wants to make us feel like we are. So for that, I thank you. Good luck to you! Just know that you were not fruitless in your efforts.
Also, an interesting fact about Biblical times and homosexuality...a course I took a few years ago dealt with Romans during Jesus' time. The professor spent an entire 4hr lecture on the definition of pornia and how it related to homosexuality. To summarize, the "kept for unnatural purposes" and "men that lie with men" dealt primarily with the owner/slave relationship. If you were a slave and your owner slept with you, it was not out of love and was completely done out of dominance. Same thing with women slaves but yet the Bible doesn't make a big deal out of that, now does it. Anyway, this certain Art Historian professor (who studied only Greco-Roman btw) was very convincing in his arguement through use of illustration and artwork that the Greco-Roman's created.
And also, the word Pornia, that stupid word that the WTBTS tries to decifer all of the time to prove their twisted points, covered a SLEW of acts now considered ok within relationships, including oral sex. Apparently, it was okay for men to recieve but disgusting if they gave. The reason? No idea. But yet, it was fine to have sex with understudies, some as young as 6 yrs old.
