I wonder how long it will take a semi-smart hacker to hack into their accounts and steal information. It will probably be some pissed off ex-JW to boot.

Does she know you live in the area? How weird is that? I'm afraid I would have felt obliged to answer the door.

Joining the Military. :D
by lucky1rish inso, i am in my early 20's.
i'm a firefighter, an emt, and hazmat technician (those guys that take care of chemical accidents), and i'm wanting more of a challenge in my line of work.
i've always loved saving people, i keep calm in frantic situations and i love the challenges.

Just a question
by Iconoclast ini've posed this to my parents lately.
my brother is getting married to a non-jaydub and they keep telling him he's living in sin with her and that he needs to confess to the elders that he's been having sex with her since he has been dating her for 4 years.
in their logic, you can't date someone for so long without doing the nasty.

Not even the elders can counter that with me. I can't get an answer at all on it.

Outrageous Omission Blood
by Marvin Shilmer inoutrageous omission blood.
today i uploaded an article i have worked on for some time.
it expounds and illustrates a revolting habit watchtower has of refraining from wide distribution of life-saving information clearly and promptly.

Why would they hide this from the R&F unless it was to cover their asses in court should someone die of lack of medical care?

In their logic, you can't date someone for so long without doing the nasty. Now, they have no proof of their allegations (although being true) and think he should fess up to his supposed wrong doings.
We have a sister that moved in with her boyfriend but, because she wasn't baptised, they have accepted her way of life. They don't like it but they accept it.
So when my dad called me to again complain about my brother's choice of wife, I asked him what the difference was between my sister and my brother. His answer was that my brother was baptised.
I asked him, "So is it different in God's eyes that my sister is baptised and my brother is not? If the Big A came tomorrow, will he show more mercy on my sister than my brother?"
He had no answer. None of them do. I've been bombarded with questions about his lifestyle with his fiance and I ask that question all the time, even to elders. They all give me the silence stop.
If this is the case, how can they validate the use of disfellowshipping? They can talk to someone who was raised as a witness and "living in sin" that wasn't baptised and, in their eyes, will die in the Big A, the same outcome as someone who has been baptised doing the same damn thing. But they refuse to talk to one that's taken the dip?

Something that has helped me understand why people continue to go to church
by JimmyPage inthe more i realized how ridiculous religion as a whole is the more i wondered why so many people even bother to continue going to church.. but someone on this board made a comment recently that has stuck with me- it's something that i could never relate to because i was brought up a jw.
and maybe many people here have trouble relating too for the same reason.. the comment was simple: people go to church because they enjoy it.
it was a new thought to me because as a jw meetings have always been such a bland and boring affair.

Church of the Kumbaya is very popular these days....
You mean since 1604? That's a long "these days". Maybe your generations lap each other.
