sigh so let me get this straight.
You believe that they located Jesus' tomb, based on a James Cameron (!!!) documentary.
And you also believe that the events of your life and your very personality and body chemistry and shape and size and who you love and when you die are somehow dictated by the movements of hunks of rock and gas that are millions and billions and trillions of miles away?
Is that about right?Ouch! LOL.
I tell ya, it's a belief system smorgasborg out there.

Does Knowing the Truth Make you a Happier person?
by gumby inmany of us who were once jehovah's witnesses had a measure of happiness in our lives.
for me, i had a hope in the future, i had answers as to why we are all here, i believed in a loving god who looked after me and cared about me, i had answers to all of lifes big questions.. when i found out the truth about the witnesses, i was lost in a great big world and now had no answers other than the fact that what i once believed was "the truth" in actuality wasn't the truth.i now had to start all over in my search for truth.
for me, it wasn't long before i found what i thought was the truth since i always believed in the bible.

i left jw's voluntarlily in 1987, still believing but thinking something was wrong with me that caused jehovah to reject me in spite of my best effforts.
after that it was "let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die".

I remember ya.
I agree with what you said. Your therapy can become your addiction, but at the same time there are no better "experts" to help newbie ex-JWs than those of us who have been through the experience. Who is going to help the newbie ex JW?
I met an attorney one time that said he had to end a deposition by 6:30 because he had to go to an AA meeting. We got to talking about support groups and I mentioned JWD. I asked him how long he'd been in AA. 23 years was his answer. I was really surprised. I asked him if he felt he still needed it to keep from drinking after all that time. He said no, but that he loved helping others. "I love those guys" is what he said. The man was one of those types that exudes peace, and compassion and grace. Really kind man, and we had an enjoyable discussion about his experiences and mine.

by purplesofa incrazy can't get online, and jwd is a real support system to her right now.. i talked with her a few minutes ago on the phone......... and she is going to call me tomorrow.. her mom is driving her nuts, she is ready to make a change in her life........and i am asking you to encourage her, as she is being very couragious right now.
i am proud of her.
she is going to call tomorrow and i would like to be able to read some wonderful things to her from her friends at jwd!!!!!.

this is easily one of the best new books i've read in a while.
ron was a pioneer, a special pioneer, and a circuit servant.
