  The Foolish 'Two Witness" Concept

  it seems, if i am interpreting the documents correctly, that many in the organization might reject good forensic evidence of a crime just because there aren't two or more (human) witnesses to back it up.. a quick look at the watchtower concordance reveals that all sorts of things can act as a 'witness' - such as a pile of rocks.. in john, jesus claimed that 'his works' acted as a witness.. actually, forensic evidence can offer more accurate 'testimony' than humans and is often superior.

  in any case, this 'two witness' stuff is rubbish, even from a biblical point of view.

  things can be a witness.. .

  I keep an eye on their legal cases and they do regularly hire 'worldly' lawyers for some cases. Probably the case here.

  Billy... i counted ceiling tiles .... did math with them, made patterns based on math etc... Am i normal?

  Ps im shit at maths, the patterns were crap and non symmetrical ....left me OCD annoyed :(

  You will get there matey, take your time. Be sincere and use legitimate information, let them accept/deby it once you tell them something, eventually they accept it. I have helped a few people leave now. It worls, just have to take your time and when they dare to ask/open up, some random eveing, be ready to pour out the info and sources for the info. For me, after about 2-3yrs they start leaving of their own accord.

  Rememebr you are saving their life by helping them leave, we dont get these years back.. One a day passes it is gone, only once you truly leave JW's you see your potential for all those years and remaining years. Dont ever feel bad for wanting to save your wife, mum and dad. It is the best gift you can give them as JW's. 99% of people do not need such tyrannical rule. Some people benefit despite it being untrue, but a minimal number.

  make sure you are making the most of your opportunities, join clubs, join sports teams!

  its funny but I read a, news article about visiting a kingdom hall and talking to JW's that was written this year, it said how JW's pour out their emotions, tell their life story to everyone, even if they just met them. Even I still work hard to not say too much. People get turned off by it, may e keep that in mind. Look at people you like and watch how much they talk about their personal/family life etc.

  if you have told them you are a JW or believe in JW doctrine, be wesry as JW's are considered fundementalists by most people. The JW doctrines are so wild now and getting wilder ss the yesrs go by and society becomes more moral, more respectful. So keep that in mind if you have told them or discuss it alot.

  As for being a girl and dealing with grouos od girls.....that is not my speciality :P

  Ps capblithering, i bet it seems impossible to leave and life will never change.....

  Today a JW came into my clinic, I am working near an old hall of mine. Someone I knew well, not seen for at least 7 years, anyway they were sent to my clinic. I examined, diagnosed and refered to specialists, prescribed some treatment, kept it pleasant but very professional.

  As I work in my old locality, I taste my old life in various ways daily. But today was my first direct JW interaction, someone I knew well. Being back here is a stark reminder of how far i have come and how stationary some people have remained.

  sometimes you have to make hard desicions, go out and face the world alone, leave much behind... To go forward and find real truth and comfort. It is a very satisfying feeling to feel content, happy, proud of ones hard work, but most of all knowing you are finally honest with yourself and your beliefs, wow its a good feeling.

  Don't wait too long, its a short life and the clock ticks quickly.... but for now, I wish you as little distress as possible. If you ever need some help or a chat drop me a pm ;)

  In my last year i did a lot of answering with info in it, talking about russel and rutherford a lot. It eased my conscience for being there , but it went over their heads like pee on a windfarm.

  Junk "DNA" is proving to be pretty damn cool ... As simon mentioned, we now know that some,enviroments can trigger dna from our past. We know very little about it currently, but it is exciting.

  Children born and malnourished in the early weeks will initiate genes that increase fat retention, they gain fsr more weight than nourished neonates. This is the only example I kmow of, I read about it 3yrs ago, I am sure they would,know more by now. Exciting though, because if we can predict the dna change outcome and find beneficial genes to activate, we could! There is a good chance they are 'off' for a reason however, so lots of research needed first.

  rheumatoid arthritis is linked to a gene that protects women from specific infections in youth (years of procreation) and so is preserved in our genes, but now we live longer, the same gene is responsible for joint inflammation in older age. Likewise we need to know why certain genes have been switched off first, as ususlly there is a cost.

  i am pleased to announce that i get to retain my bottom intact for the foreseeable future.. .

  milestone check-up just done.

  i had a stage 3, 4t anal canal cancer for which i underwent chemo and radiation this past spring.
