derek house is a jehovahs witness who believes an organ transplant could lead to the recipient having a change of personality.. this was on tv here in the uk this week.i couldn't believe my eyes and ears when i saw this!note the comments - many of them are defending jws saying he can't really be one.

I know JWs are clueless anyway but methinks this is acting. The red 'holy bible' is a giveaway.

@Reality79 I did wonder that myself. The Bible looks exactly like the ones you get in hotels. I'm wondering if the production company had it in their props department and made him hold it for effect..?

This was on TV here in the UK this week. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears when I saw this! Is he an "old-skool" J-Dub? He seems to be talking about the pre-1980's doctrines which have no basis in science. The upshot of it is that it at least shows the JWs can be completely ridiculous. Hopefully it might make a few interested ones think twice! Note the comments - many of them are defending JWs saying he can't really be one. I was brought up being told we don't donate organs (after asking my parents about my classmates' donor cards), then in my late teens hearing accounts of JWs whose lives had been saved by donor organs and being very confused. Is this an issue that has gotten so confused that JWs dont really know what the GB's bottom line is on it anymore?

TBH, if your shower is right next to the toilet you could probably use it instead. I use my shower to clean the toilet as the hose reaches over. It's more hygenic than a brush!

There was a bidet in my vacation accomodation in Spain - I used it to wash the sand from my feet! Only time I ever used one properly was in hospital after giving birth.

a recent post i made on watchman duty reminded me of something that a few uber-righteous jws would do.

work in volunteer service at your own assigned district convention, but since you missed so much of the program, re-attend the whole thing again on another weekend and just "focus on the program".

i remember one super self-righteous guy talking me into going back to re-attend a saturday once.

I remember one super Self-Righteous guy talking me into going back to re-attend a Saturday once. I was single. You can probably guess my real motivation for re-attending. But that was the only time I ever did double duty at a DC.

I did that too on a Sunday after having already worked 3 days at one DC. Didn't get me anywhere with the eligible bros though.

I sat there all smug with my notes adding bits to them and leafing through the new litteratra$h before the DO giving the talk announced it with people on the seats around me craning their necks to get a glimpse of it. How pathetic!

Personality test based on how you listen to music

i designed a 4 question personality test that looks at the simple ways you listen to music.. it can determine from those questions your 4 letter mbti code.

from there i included some fun links that goes deeper into the personality traits.. i have yet to try this in a larger forum such as this but was wondering the results and if i can develope this.. .

i don't think it's a hard question as to why we need music .

for us it's a way to express the feelings we've got, the way we feel .

you feel love for everybody in the world .

Music has saved my life on countless occasions. Numb/Encore - Linkin Park & Jay-Z, Don't Give Up - Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush, Everybody Hurts - R.E.M are just a few tunes that have comforted me. I can appreciate most different types of music and certainly don't restrict myself or identify with any one particular genre. I've been an indie chick, a rave head, a goth, a hip hop honey, a mosher/metaller, a drum 'n' bass (and dubstep) head. I have learned to play a couple of instruments and can read music. I've been to death metal concerts (nothing like the WT$ would have you believe), folk gigs, all sorts. I grew up listening to my parents' very diverse musical tastes - 70's soul & funk, prog rock, 80's pop, Italian operetta, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield.

I have identified myself as having an auditory learning style. I pick up song lyrics easily. My love of music has given me the confidence to get up and sing in front of 250 people. I've DJ'd in a few clubs and my partner works in the music industry. My life would have a massive void if I didn't have music.
