i lurked for 2 years on this site before i joined in july 2013. what a roller coaster ride it has been.. first of all, i was a very active jw for those unfamilar with my story having been a longtime elder(21 years), regular pioneer (14 years), convention & assembly speaker, etc.
i am still an active witness because i am older now, with close to 40 years in the borg with some longtime friends.

That is a curious thing you mentioned about your speech habits changing.
I have noticed the same thing! I was never exposed much to "colorful" language growing up and so I cant use that as a reason. So what is that all about? Curious!

some people, we tend to gravitate to and others, we shy away from.. how do you think you come across to other people?
Well lets see....
in "real life" I come across as shy and qentle. Children and animals like me and I like them. I am more of an observer than a talker. I have opinions but value accuracy more than hanging on to any opinion I may hold. Show me a better way and I will embrace it.

i don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.
i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.
the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

I was amazed recently to find out the elders manual has changed the way of handling situations when publishers take blood. Not necessarily a disfellowshipping offense.
Most may be aware of this but I wasnt. News to me!
