i just wanted to intoroduce myself.

i have been lurking for some time and finally decided to register and hopefully contribute to this great forum.. i am in my mid 30s and have never been in the truth.

my wife became a jw several years ago and since she is a (mostly) stay at home mom my two boys are also jws.

yes my holy anionted mom who has cancer is concerned that the loving god jehovah may ask her in heaven to destroy here non believer family including her 5 year old grandchild during armagedon....how messed up are these crazy people!!?

I am creating a file of some of the things that have shocked me as I know they will shock my brother also, IF and WHEN the day comes he finally decides to take the gloves off and really have a talk with me about my becoming inactive.

Because I know him I know the kind of things he "thinks" he knows about this religion that he does NOT.

Just like I didnt.

I always thought the anointed had a well defined role that was also a peaceful one, relatively speaking.

Husband Turns Up With Circuit Overseer And Wife!

my husband said he would be gone for the day.

the circuit overseer is at their cong and he trying to get brownie points.

i was just chilling watching tv with a cuppa, when i heard a car outside.

I would be shocked too!

Maybe he forgot his phone or something and needed to grab it?

Hopefully that is the end of it!

So I am learning for the first time that it is a new teaching that the heavenly 144,000 will share in execution.

I always thought that their role was to be priests, kings and judges. In other words. part of the judiciary branch of this heavenly government

(to use their own explanation)

so now, the anointed are executioners?

I am not doubting but I wonder if anyone has a link to where this got announced because I didnt know this!

there are many people out there willing to die or kill for what they believe in.

i was one of those in my early twenties.

i was a self righteous pioneer and bethelite willing to die for what i thought was "the truth".

I have come to think that ANY belief system carried to the extreme can have a negative effect on others.

Balance is a good thing.

Some things lend themselves more to being unbalanced than others.

Religion is one of those things.

I wonder if things are calm because they are tired?

Its just a bunch of old men who are not used to having to give much in the way of energy.

I think all the broadcasts and having to be having to be poster boys has proven to be tiring.

sad days for me.

i have been doing the above and came across various notes letters i had kept down the years.

there were some letters from my mother.. some i have kept others were from beginning to end all wt dogma.

Im glad there are some letters you were able to keep zeb.

I have noticed some of my "in" family members seem to want to talk ONLY about things to do with religion now that I am out.

I think they think it is a way of witnessing ~~lecturing~~

why, it's the way it totally irritates people and really pushes their buttons...that is, if you are one of the unfortunate jehovah's witnesses who happens across my door during field service.

i have developed several techniques to make it very frustrating to the unwary witness who hopes to make headway at my house.
