Is the Watchtower "a snare and a racket"?
by Fernando inrascal rutherford, who remains "in good standing" to this day, it seems was quite clear that "all religion"..."is a snare and a racket"..

WT: "Don't watch news items featuring witnesses!"
by cedars inhi everyone, yet another analysis of a recent watchtower i'm afraid.
this one's a little closer to home, as it concerns apostates.
yes - i'm referring to the forthcoming article "will you heed jehovah's clear warnings?

This is nothing new but it's a fresh dose so close after the convention which had a talk on apostasy.
I am nervous about this article & the one coming up 2 weeks after it. My husband who is never confrontational got into an argument with me after reading a daily text on keeping free from spiritual contamination. So what is he going to be like after studying this article and going over it at the meeting that's 2 hours of this crap in his head. Then there is my 8 year old & this crap getting into her head.
I hope my telling him that the warnings about apostates is not for their spiritual benefit but for the WBT$ to keep their secrets hidden, comes to mind while he's reading over this garbage. -

Things to inspire JW Youth...We're rooting for you
by discreetslave injehovah's witnesses have the lowest retention rate of any religious tradition.
only 37% of all those who say they were raised as jehovah's witnesses still identify themselves as jehovah's witnesses.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d2w-enhvdk.

Are these guys in Bethel? Elder 1 & 2 look so familiar.
Why don't they make the elders go out in service like the reg. pioneers do? Most elders I know suck at field service. -

I've stopped my bible study but....
by PenelopePaige inthe lady i studied with asked if it would be okay if she still brought the magazines by.
i said of course because i do love the awake and watchtower.
well, when she came by last week, she gave me the mags and then as we stood around chit-chatting, i realized we were basically still having the study, only we were standing up instead of sitting in the living room.

This is called a doorstep study. There is a feature in the Watchtower that is designed just for this purpose. They are relentless. You're still being counted as a bible study.

The Jehovahs Witness Baby Sitter
by garyneal injust thought id pop in with a new thread concerning the development on my childrens lives.
my youngest daughter goes to a babysitter who is a sister in my wifes congregation.
the reason being is because the child is an infant and regular daycare is much too expensive.

Last week my kids went through the same thing with a sister who watched them. My 2 year old loves Super Why she wouldn't let him watch it for the same reason. My daughter was told she couldn't talk about pop songs, the Lion king, and was made to pray before eating a popsicle. I told my husband I thought she was too extreme but he didn't see the harm.
It's good your daughter will be away from her but she still has your baby. Your baby will learn all the kingdom songs and be able to say Armageddon. -

The pic is part of another Watching the World on Neanderthals that's next to the one on Catholics. When you think anout how stupid it is to highlight the Catholic statistics when the JW one is 6x's worse the Neanderthal picture is appropriate

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, THANKS for your encouragement!!! It's been quite a week, college earthquakes, tornado, & hurricane. I haven't had power since Saturday afternoon. The plus side no meeting Sunday or tonight and he hasn't been out in service in 2 weeks. Since we're going away this weekend it will be 3 weeks.
I must admit I'm worried about the upcoming WT study on apostates. The sunday he acted out of character and got into an argument with me was after a daily text on spiritual contamination. He loves me but as many of you know the mind control is relentless. Let's see what happens.

Copyright Issues
by irondork inone of the points ray franz brought out in both his books is that most of the early literature is out of print and simply unavailable to jehovah's witnesses (or anyone else) today.. would there be any copyright issues involved in setting up a website, or an addition to this website (just a scenario) with a database of all this old leterature?
are writings from 100 years ago considered public domain now?.
i realize it would be a massive undertaking but with so many people contributing literature from their own collections.... .
