Twice in some 15 years, I was councelled that my wife's skirts were too short. To her credit, she did have great legs but she was short and having knee length or slightly higher helped to make her look taller and she was very fashion conscience. However, I sort of wondered then how many of the perv elders were probably oggling her legs? Funny, one elder and his wife critisized her while another older, well respected elder said she was fine and not to worry about it...talk about trying to figure that one out? Of course, the elder that told us not to worry about it had a wife who you use to sit in the car out in service with her legs under her butt...her dress would ride up so far, it was a pleasure to look at her legs too! Geeze, why is it so hard to just let people take care of how they dress and not get involved! In other words, mind your own business. I am more than one elder has enjoyed the dunking fun! They could say they don't but in my experience, men and men and all the piety in the world doesn't change that! In fact, the more pious you are, the more porn you are probably watching!!!!

As an IT person, this is not uncommon at all. Don't read more into than you need to. It is just a way to make sure that virus software doesn't interfere with the installation process. Most people do not understand how to handle issues if the come up. No big deal.

"Get out of the bleachers and into the game"... Memorial 2012 demonstration.
by koolaid-man innow is a good time to start making preparations for the memorial night demonstration at your kingdom hall thursday, april 5, 2012, after sundown.. close to 20 million people will attend this annual global witness event including active witnesses, relatives and friends of witnesses, bible studies, return visits and still attached former witnesses.
the evils of the watchtower org.have to be exposed and this is an ideal time to do it.. many around the world have been adversely affected by their association with jehovah's witnesses and you can be an instrumental force by standing tall and courageously exposing the watchtower organization.. there is no better way to let the watchtower know your revulsion than to broadcast and present your view by standing fearlessly, demonstrating in front of a kingdom hall.. i am fully aware that a handful of the internet therapists who post on this forum will not agree with this method of unmasking the watchtower.. those intolerant, contemptuous critics who will comment on this thread making harsh judgements and finding fault with those who protest are perhaps deep-down wishing they had the backbone to stop hiding in cyber-space, step away from their computer and "get out of the bleachers and into the game" .
lets make this a global event!......

There are much better things to do with one's life than fight the Watchtower.
And yet that is what so many of you do, dig it up post after post after post? If your really feel this way,
the just get off the board and never post again and then you can truly say you have left it behind? That is
my thinking at least?

@nicolau...You may not agree with Rick, but at least he doesn't swear like a sailor at someone? Do you kiss your mothers, sister, father, or children with that mouth. If he wants to protest let him. Will it make a difference for most...maybe not. I began researching the Internet after 40 years and read CoC and that did more for me. But, Rick serves his own purpose and in the way he believes he should act...so just leave him alone? We left the borg so people wouldn't tell us what to do and now you think you have the right to tell HIM what to do? I don't feel antagnosed as an ex-JW? So, you do not speak for everyone. Are you really from England....if so, then you have even LESS of a valid opinion in my book...worry about your own country I would say. I lived in New England for many years and rarely if ever heard anything about what Rick was doing. So, it may not get that much press or notice by most but again, I support his RIGHT to do this as much as anyone decides to Occupy Wallstreet. I think they are wasting their time too but they still have the right despite your narrow view...and narrow it is.

Ok, having two parents die of lung cancer, and an aunt die over cirrhosis of the liver... I am not trying to defend the WT, but all they really said is that these people have to take responsibility for their actions and that is true. Smoking is bad for you plain and simple. Excessive drinking will cause liver problems. Although, drinking or smoking hardly come on par with dropping bombs or starting wars...pretty sure neither of my parents did that. Also, I don't know of too many people responsible for famine...it sort of happens outside your control. So, if the issue is lumping this all together, than I am there with ya!!!!

I am so glad I have faded to the point I no longer need to go...my family does not expect me and I have no JW friends that expect me. I can relax at home, enjoy some time with my grandkids. I am not sure why people would go if they feel that badly about the assembly. To they own self be true and stay home.

I have never in my 50 years heard of religious resturants in the US. I guess they might exist but never in the major cities I lived in. There were always some resturants where the owners were very religious. For example, Chick-fil-a are owned by religous folks which is why they are closed on Sunday's. But, I never heard of anyone not willing to eat there. Similar for other places...as long as they didn't push their religion too much, who cared? I guess we don't have the "meat sacraficed to idol" type resturants anymore?

No right to pick on one person who puts himself out there. Do I see your picture, video, and voice out week after week? I doubt it. I just don't get the haters? There are many aspects to leaving this religion. I don't buy everything that is sold but I do gleen some good information and enjoy the content all the same. Will I be out standing on a street corner anytime soon with fellow apostate...no...but hey, it takes allot to do that. I really consider the attack on him so personal that I just don't get it? I am not Rick, I never met Rick, I am just a 40 year fader that still has an interst in what is going on with JWs...the good, the bad, the funny and maybe even the made up!!!!

Letter to the Writing Department from Barbara Anderson
by Dogpatch ini thought i knew you.
an open letter from barbara anderson to watch towers writing department.
in 1517, martin luther wrote in a letter to archbishop albert of mainz: you must graciously forgive that i, that scum of the earth, am so bold as to dare to address a letter to you.. yes, i know, you think of me as scum, just like mainz believed of luther, wondering how i dare write you a letter, someone jehovahs witnesses disfellowshipped back in 2002. i was accused of being an unrepentant sinner and condemned for causing divisions, then labeled apostate because i spoke out publicly on nbcs dateline tv program aboutthe child sexual abuse policies that protected pedophiles policies that you helped formulate.

Very nice letter Barbara. I enjoy the letter as I enjoyed your attendance to Rick's show on Saturday several weeks ago. It was very informatvie. This just goes to show that Rick serves an important purpose and does get some good information out there! I did not personally know much about Barbara but now it do THANKS to the Saturday show. Good work Rick bringing her on. I am not Rick, I never met Rick....I just support Rick's right to do what he does and enjoy the show for what they present and believe what I want but not necessarily all of it...my choice...your choice...it is called freedom from the bonds of the JW religion!
